We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. I'm a little iffy about giving up on J.J. so quickly....I'd probably want Turk to walk first. |

I am with Archduke on this one. I don't want to give up JJ on the sign and trade. I would also prefer Turk. But hey, it will depend on who the Sonics would want. |

For one, i dont think Gortat will be coming this season, hes got a contract over in Europe and those are so tricky to crunch the numbers and get out of. Plus Kasun isnt a PF hes a C. Hes just another big stiff who can only play center. Considering the Magic's luck... i think we used it all in trying to get Lewis.. we probably dont have enough to get Wallace. But if we did that would be the best day ever. 3 good players on a team? Wow! If we expect to do much else in the offseason, i imagine Turk will have to go. I dont think we will be able to keep him with his contract, skills and size. Teams would want him in a trade, plus his big contract keeps us from signing other guys, so i bet we wont see him in a Magic uni next season if Otis wants to make other moves. |

No doubt, JJ hasn't even had the chance to prove what he can do yet, no way am I going to let him go before Turk. Redick is one of our keys to future success, not the streaky player in Turkoglu. |

Well, it is a similar situation with both JJ/Turk as it would be, say, if we had to choose between trading Battie or Darko. Sure Turk has put up better numbers, and Battie has been tougher/more consistent, but you would still stick with the younger guys. The more I'm thinking about it, though, the less I want to get rid of Turk. He's pretty much the BEST scorer off the bench, and we know he's got no problem being a 2nd teamer. I mean, a lot of people like to compare Turk to Shard (Turk is nowhere as consistent) but he can give the same kind of offensive burst in 2nd team time. Apparently SVG thinks he can play the 4 (I have my doubts, but I'm not an NBA coach, either). We'll see how it pans out. |

Very good points, I'm not the biggest Turkoglu fan around but I must admit that he does come in handy at times during games. If our keys guys are struggling and we put him in during the 2nd half he has the ability to drop some 3's, and give the team an offensive burst like you said. But I still wouldn't be against trading him if the right deal came along. |

Turk is great off the bench but hes definitley not untouchable and hes probably the most likely guy on the team to get traded just because of his contract and because we have guys at his position so it makes him vulnerable. |

I understand that he makes the most sense to be dealt. I'm just saying if it DOESN'T happen, he has his uses. I only hope we can still manage to shore up the frontcourt even if Turk doesn't go. |

I dont think we need to worry about that. There is no way we will go into the season with holes in the lineup like we currently do. |

I have faith to, but with Shard all but signed, that needs to be the top priority. We can play Ariza, Redick, and Bogans at the 2....even Dooling if he isn't dealt. All other moves need to be at the 4 or 5. |

I am with you guys on JJ, but was just factoring the rumors at the time that had Seattle wanting something juicy in their S&T. With the quotes coming out lately it sounds as if the magic are really auditioning JJ for the starting role lately
