I think Gortat and Kasun will get some burn this season. I hasten to point out that the Magic's PF rotation is currently Tony Battie/Pat Garrity.

Remember SVG mentioned using Turk at PF. I think it would work much better with Rashard. |

No. Battie would get the nod at the 4 or 5, and Shard would go to the 3. If Hedo's still here, he's coming off the bench. |

Ariza needs to start at the 2 to make up for lewis on D and Battie will start if we can't get Darko back or anybody else. Right now If Darko does not come back the magic will be extremelly weak up front. Magloire seems like a guy we might be able to get since we spent all our cap on lewis. Our roster will look like this Nelson/Arryo/Dooling Ariza/JJ/bogans Lewis/hedo Dwight/Gort Battie/Mag Sorry Meant for EC |

Or, we could ship out Turk for a big guy, start Dooling at the 2 (good defense and energy, like Ariza), have JJ back up Dooling, and have Ariza back up Rashard. PG - Jameer/ Carlos SG - Dooling/ Redick SF - Rashard/ Ariza PF - Battie/ (trade via Turk)/ Kasun C - Howard/ Gortat I think that lineup gives us a good, well-rounded starting 5, and a good, well-rounded second unit. The starting five has good defenders, good energy, good rebounding, and good outside shooting. The second unit has all the same stuff. Granted, we're probably going to need Dwight to play 48 minutes a game, but this lineup could work. |

I was thinking the same thing. The lineup is good, but it will tests Dwight's stamina. As soon as he gets benched or tired, teams will go downlow everytime. Garrity as a lowpost defender?? I don't think so. Ariza is a good player but I think he's better off the bench. Then again, we have no reliable perimeter defender. What about starting Dooling over Nelson? Possibility? Anyways, I think the lineup would look good if we traded Turk for a big guy.A frontcourt of Augustine/Garrity/Outlaw isn't scary and sickens me.

I am glad to see that you guys haven't been putting Rashard at PF in any of your lineup projections. I think that would be a huge stretch for him and it has been mentioned a lot elsewhere. |

No way would I put Rashard there. It's practically begging for him to get hurt. Dwight, Battie, Augustine, Kasun, Gortat. :S Oooh boy.

I'm still holding out hope for this lineup: PG - Jameer/Watson SG - Gerald Wallace/Ariza SF - Rashard/ Turkoglu PF - Battie/ (A Cheap Big)/ Kasun C - Howard/ Gortat This would take into account JJ, Arroyo, Dooling, and Garrity for Lewis/Watson in a sign and trade with us getting Gerald Wallace and a cheap backup PF with the extra cash. It's a pipe dream, but it would make this offseason one of the best this franchise has had. I'd love if we could get rid of Turkoglu for someone else too but I think we will have trouble getting equal value. |
