We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Not just that...Turk can get us something in return. He's played pretty well the past two seasons....I just hope we can somehow get a big in return for him. |

Another great thing about Rashard Lewis is that hes a really good FT shooter. Last season he shot 84% and there is games where he will go 8-9 or 12-13. FT shooting is like a virus, when one has it its contagious. So if Lewis continues the good shooting at the line it might go around the team. Just like last season when Dwight was terrible at the line it kind of circled around the team. |

I'm glad we got Rashard. Hopefully we can resign Darko in a S&T. Anyways, I know this is dumb, so don't say anything but I heard a "rumor" that would be Turkoglu for Artest straight up. I didn't post this so don't bash me. I just heard it. It sounds stupid I know. Anyways, yeah we got Rashard which is a huge boost. |

Yeah, the Hedo for Artest deal is all over the news. I hope it doesn't happen. |

I'm glad a lot of the fans are coming around on the Rashard deal. When it went down you would have thought Darko was the best player in the world and Rashard wasn't good at all. Rashard is one of 7 players in the NBA to average over 20 points and 5 rebounds. The others are perennial all stars: Lebron, Brand, Nowitzki, etc. |

Hi Guys! I really like the signing of Shard. He is one of my fav Players and I wanted to see him in a Magic-Jersey a long time ago. He can shoot, dribble, pass and hit jumper nearly from everywhere on the court. With his addition, I think our offense will be more a faster type of play, even more variable. I`m looking forward to see Shard in uniform. Thanks Otis for this great addition. With Lewis here, we need to use Hedo as 6th Man or Sg. I think he needs to stay, he gave all his heart for us the last two season and I will hold on to him. We can use him next to Shard, as bench player, as Leader. Bye Whizzy |

Yep, I think it would be totally laughable for people to want Darko over Rashard. He's the type of player that has the ability to put us over the top, along with some other key acquisitions. I've wanted Rashard soon as I found out he was going to be a FA, just glad my wish came true. |

It's not that I'd rather have Darko over Rashard, but that I'd rather have both of them. If Cornstein had waited to let Otis unload contracts, we'd have them both. Now, Darko's going to walk away for nothing, and the Magic have one NBA-talent power forward: Tony Battie.

Well, yes, that is true. I would've liked them both as well. Our team would have been absolutely loaded. But, what are ya gunna do? Darko's agent is a complete jagoff, which doesn't help matters much. And how much was he going to command? 10M per season? That's a joke. |

Not to get too specific with the stats, but I saw this on ESPN the other day: There are only 5 players to average 20 pts, 5 rbs, and 1 steal a game for the past 3 years - Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Vince Carter, LeBron James, and Rashard Lewis. Pretty good company, eh? |

Extremely, and most people would say Rashard isn't in that sort of class. |

Impressive stats. And he is about to reach his prime (yup, I think he is not there yet). I see him as a non-injury-prone version of TMac.

Yep, he is only 27 (28 in August) and I think his best years are ahead. |

His stats have improved each year he's been in the league.

Haha that 1 steal helps toss out the bigs - Brand and Nowitzki - further making him look good on paper. Fantasy basketball is going to be a race to get him. I had him in one of my two leagues last year (I forget which) but I remember him carrying my team. |
