We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Everyone loves a good conspiracy. There would be no reason for Stern to rig the draft lottery. Pulling a stunt like that, the risk is so much greater than the reward. There is no way he would put his job and the integrity of the league on the line just to prove a point. Cheers Boston fans! Mess with fire and you will get burned. |

If there was a fix, it would be that Boston got the first pick. Why in the world would the NBA fix the draft lottery so one of the most storied franchises and one of the largest TV markets would be punished? And punished for what, throwing some games? Since when did the NBA take moral stances over increasing revenue? |

No way the lottery was rigged and it totally is just sour grapes. David Stern giving the #1 pick to a team from Portland, Oregon makes no sense money-wise. I think I just heard a gunshot. Quick, someone check on Paul Pierce! |

Pierce better demand a trade if he wants to win a ring. |

This is huge. I flipped when i saw the lottery and saw Memphis and Boston fall all the way to 4 and 5. Wow... Terrible for their franchises. Everyone had Memphis taking Oden now he will go to the Blazers for sure. He would fit PERFECTLY next to the great offensive player that Zach Randolph is. |

Portland are gonna be sick in a few years if they keep their main core. Jack, Roy, Aldridge, Randolph..Oden. Maybe they'll deal Miles with him being known for being a bit of a trouble maker.. |

I know. Of all places why Portland? Like someone else says, it hurts TV wise because on the West Coast its gonna be hard to get them featured because of the time difference on the East Coast. Mostly the end game of a doubleheader at around 10:30 which most people are not gonna stay up for. |

Looks like both of the top picks are heading to the northwest. |

Portland should return to the playoffs in the next 3-4 years when everybody is completely developed. They are going to be nasty. They're like the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. |
