We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Sacramento Kings 11. Indiana Pacers (Goes to Atlanta Hawks) 12. Philadelphia 76ers 13. New Orleans Hornets 14. Los Angeles Clippers Funny - the three teams suspected of tanking (Grizzlies, Celtics, Bucks) all were snuffed out of the top 3. |

That's what they get for not playing to win. Those 3 teams will still get solid picks though. There are some pretty good players in this draft class. Albeit, nowhere near the talent in '96 or '03. |

Pierce needs to leave the Cs and go somewhere else. He's not going to win there. I feel sorry for him. |

I have to say, if Portland picks Oden or Durant, they will have a pretty good team there with Brandon Roy, Randolph, Jack and Aldridge. |

Portland: future dynasty Celtics: Completely laughable, especially considering they tried to tank the season. Better enjoy watching Manny Ramirez and Brady, frontrunning Boston fans, because you are stuck with Doc Rivers and a #5 pick. Enjoy! |

I don't feel sorry for the Celtics. They tanked, and it didn't work - good. You guys might get a kick out of reading some of the Celtics forums. A lot of their fans are convinced that the draft was rigged to punish their team for tanking. Hmm...how ironic. Their team tried to rig some games, then they call out Stern for supposedly rigging the draft. Hypocrites.

I bet the NBA front office is extremely disappointed with the results tonight. Both Oden and Durant are going to be playing in the Pacific Northwest and out of the Eastern Time Zone and out of a large market. However I'm glad both will be out of the East and both will be going to smaller market teams. |

Good, I never liked Boston. Screw them. Sucks though, no Orlando 1st rounder this year. Might as well say that Darko was our 2007 draft choice. Lame. Anyway, I wonder if Oden and Durant will go nuts right away like everyone is expecting. I don't think they'll perform of what's expected of them right away. But hey, not everyone is... well, I don't know.. DWIGHT HOWARD! Hahaha. |

I still can't believe how many people outside of these forums are calling this year's lottery rigged. The basic arguement I'm seeing from Boston fans is that it was rigged as part of a punishment to the three teams that were perceived to be tanking games (Boston, Memphis, Milwaukee). So basically they are outraged that Stern supposedly cheated to keep those teams out of the top 3, but are not outraged that their own team did cheat to try and land one of those top spots. It's a pretty rediculous way of thinking, really. |

I really don't think it can be rigged will all those executive and officials from lottery teams. Stern is definitely not happy about teams tanking to position for the lottery, but I don't think his office can do much about it. They are saying they will think of changing the lottery to prevent teams from tanking games, but this is still up to the owners. Those saying that the draft is rigged is only sour-graping in my opinion. Yup, them Boston fans.

Exactly. What some people fail to realize is that while the lottery is done behind closed doors (or at least out of view from the t.v. cameras), it's not like it's just David Stern and his posse in there watching it go down. |
