We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

The Magic aren't among John Hollinger's 15 most-improved offseason teams, which means he believes the Magic will be worse this season than they were a year ago. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/col...%3dstateChanged It's an Insider column, but it's in "free preview" mode right now. |

Hollinger's list is such a joke. -Either that or he just forgot about us. The additions/subtractions of the Raptors, Lakers, Wizards, and Celtics are abysmal compared to the Magic this offseason. Can the media really love Darko THAT much?!

Alright man, we gave you another shot but you're obviously just a nuisance. We're here to talk about our team, not to engage in little kiddie wars. Try the ESPN board. |

We're in the Summer Slider category now at number 16 for the offseason. Here's the end of the article: "All in all, there are a lot of additions and subtractions to weigh here, but the end result is that it looks pretty close to a wash." A wash? This guy is worse than Bill Walton at a Pistons-Magic game. Here's a link to the rest of the garbage http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/col...6lid%3dtab2pos2 I guess he must think that Grant Hill is about 22 and without any prior injuries and that Darko is going to be the best C in the NBA next year. |

Thoughts: -Diener gone is for the best since our team just didn't seem high on him -MagicOwnNBA's short tenure on the board comes to an end. Ah well. -Hollinger's ranking of our offseason is just stupid. We trade an injured guard who never played for us and a our backup PF for the top free agent of the summer. Wow...talk about a wash. Also, the summer is only halfway over at this point so how could he be evaluating the teams so early? Just moronic and I'm surprised ESPN ran it. |

I usually like John Hollinger -- his statistical analyses are spot-on -- but when he tries to write like a "regular guy", I'm always disappointed. If he were evaluating the additions and subtractions using one of his whiz-bang mathematical formulas, I'd be more inclined to agree with him. |

I think Hollinger's ranking should be read in reverse. The Blazers who have significantly improved are also in the bottom of his list. The guy has his analysis screwed. He even have the Mavs, Spurs, and the Cavs on the bottom half. |

To be fair, the Mavs, Spurs, and Cavs haven't done anything this offseason. Meanwhile, the teams around them got better. They should be in the bottom half. That's not to say that they're bad teams, but that they haven't improved this offseason, and that's what Hollinger is ranking. |
