We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Link He's a really good coach who almost took a team full of turmoil and injuries to the playoffs - again, like he has done his entire career. I have a feeling that a combination of the front office wanting to wipe the slate clean of last year's off the court problems combined with the expected reaction of fans not seeing their team in the playoffs led to his demise. He honestly didn't deserve it, IMO, and should get a coaching job somewhere quickly if he wants to continue. So...let the "Fire Hill/Hire Carlisle" debates begin! |

He needs a change of scenery. In his second year as the Pacers Coach, The Brawl at the Palace occurred. The following year, Ron Artest demand a trade after the team stuck by him during the suspension of the brawl. This year was marred by off court incidents, injuries, and the big trade. Based on this year, I do not think Brian Hill will take the Magic any farther than the first round. |

If Hill gets fired... Carlisle would be my first choice. He seems like a good basketball mind that can do more with less. Most people would believe that Carlisle is a HUGE upgrade from Hill, anyways. |

I like him, and I'm sure he can figure out how to use our players better than Hill can. |

It will be awesome if we can get Rick. He has shown great apt in maximizing the talents of his players. He is also a good playoff coach and is very good in making adjustments ...remember the run he made with only scrubs left on his team? He will be great for the Magic....that said, some team will grab him while Otis is still patting Brian Hill's back for a "job well done" this season.

With coaches getting fired, I pretty much think each one will have us saying "We should get this guy". Hill's only fans really appear to be Magic Management. I still would like Adelman. |

idk about carlisle, i think we would still have a stagnant slow paced offense because thats his style like brian hill's, the only thing he has going for him really in my eyes is the 60 win season w/ the pacers but every other time all his teams are kind of copycats of our team this year, slow offense and emphasized defense except his detroit team was a lot better defensively than ours but we all saw in the 1st round how s**tty their offense was against tmac and co. |
