No prob, Jax. And we SHOULD get an easy win on Friday against the b-cats. They have many injury problems incuding Gerald Wallace and Brevin Knight. Also Emeka has been up and down lately on offense so that should be good news for the Magic. |

I'm 3-0, baby! ![]() REFS TRIED TO f**k US OVER AGAIN, BUT WE FOUGHT THROUGH IT!!! ![]() Mr. Clutch, Captain Planet, AIRiza, Keith's defense, Turk's 2nd half are the reasons why we came back and held on. 19-14, 5 GAMES OVER .500 AGAIN!!! ![]() Can't believe the Fat Guy got lipo, but obviously it needed to be done. He's still the crazy S.O.B. we all love. ![]() BOB DELANEY NEEDS TO GO RIGHT BACK INTO FBI/CIA BECAUSE HIS CREW WAS HORRIBLE!!! ![]() I'm still pissed at Carlos for not passing the ball. Not only can he not shoot anymore, HE COULDN'T HOLD ON TO THE BALL EITHER!!! ![]() If Diener doesn't get Chuck's minutes, I'm gonna seriously be pissed. Good to see JJ get some PT, he'll learn through his mistakes (even though Hedo had his jersey ripped off in the inbound pass late in the came). Brought back the wave again tonight, good stuff. Love going retro as always. ![]() Defense was huge in the 2nd half holding Brand and Kaman to 2 and 4 points each. ![]() Bo brought us some energy as always. ![]() Enough can't be said for how much Trevor has meant to us in these last few weeks.

I enjoyed watching the game, and then reading everyone's comments here. I will add this: Despite some people's displeasure with Arroyo, note how darn good the defense held while he was in. Arroyo is an underated defender, putting everything he does have into defense. Earlier in the season, I claimed Ariza was one of your best players. I doubt now I will get much argument about it although I got no support on this back then. I will again point out that it was the addition of Ariza to the rotation that triggered the big run for Orlando last year. I see no mention in the comments about how Darko repeatedly denied Kaman. The headlines at ESPN.com mention stifling D, and Darko was a huge part of that. One last thing, not related to this game. I said earlier that no way Hill should start for Orlando; that he should be played sparingly and saved for the playoffs. Nobody is ready to play big minutes after sitting for so many years. So many parts of the body must be kept in condition, and just can't happen when you can't run. Orlando would be much better served leaving Bogans in the starting lineup for his D. |

Just finished watching the game, which I had TiVoed. Here are my thoughts: Obviously, a great game by Jameer. He shot the ball well, kept it moving, got a couple of fast breaks going, played remarkably well defending a much larger Livingston, and played some great help defense (bravely taking a charge from Brand). He really kept us in this one. Great third quarter all around. The defense was solid (only 15 points allowed, I believe), and the offense really sparked. That was fun to watch. Trevor Ariza was fantastic. His offense was good, his defense was great, and his athleticism is incredible. He provided offense by himself at times when the rest of the team was sagging. Great game by him. It was good to see Turk hit some shots in the second half. Glad to have him back. Another solid performance from the most overshadowed player on this team - Tony Battie. He virtually took Brand out of the game for most of the second half. While his stats are never very impressive, his importance on this team is huge. I have no clue what Arroyo is doing out there half the time. He dribbles, dribbles, dribbles, and then crashes in to someone and the ball goes out of bounds. A lot of times, with Nelson, I think he makes bad decisions and tries to make things happen that aren't there. BUT, at least I can tell what he is trying to do. With Arroyo, there is no method to the madness. Our offense looks very near pathetic with him in there. Thank God for our defense. JJ neither contributed nor detracted, in my opinion. He played reasonably well individual defense and was very physical. I'll take that from him any day of the week. Darkofan, the reason I think that Darko didn't get mention on this board was because his defense wasn't really that good. Sure he denied the ball to Kaman. But, it's Chris Kaman. It's not like he's guarding Garnett. Kaman scored above his season average tonight - so I wouldn't neccessarily consider the defense on him to be that great. A much needed win for the boys in blue. Hopefully we have righted the ship. |

I think it time for darko to start. Tony is veteran we know what we are going to get from him nightin and night out. but darko is unknown and might end up paying him on potenial instead of facts. so be |

good game from everyone, except for arroyo. hes been in a serious funk lately. i think hes trying to force the ball too many times. ariza continues to impress me and dwight showed some poise in the post. he handled the double teams very well. jameer had a great game as well. he showed a lot of energy. good game from the magic! hopefully we can build on this. |

darko really lack consistency, the team wants every opportunity to just let him start but he is so inconsistent and cant ever put 2 games together that they cant put darko in the starting lineup i like darko a lot for our team w/ howard but i will be pissed if we give him 60 mill or anything above 35-38 mill if he keeps up his inconsistent play for the rest of the season |

Darko needs more consistency. Some games, he seems to not care at all. At this rate, a 4 year deal worth around $20 million is just about all he's worth. I'm sure teams will throw a lot of money at him this offseason. Hopefully he keeps improving and develops some consistency in his game and attitude, but we can't give him whatever he wants. Like 95% of the players in the league, he is replaceable. No reason to overpay him. Let's just see what kind of player he is at the end of the season. |

In addition to becoming more consistent, Darko needs to learn to be more physical. I can't remember the last time I saw a guy his size get pushed around like that. He is pushed out of the paint, boxed out by guys half his size, and has rebounds ripped out of his hands by point guards. He needs to start dunking the basketball when in close, and playing physical defense with the same tenacity as Battie. |

I think someone will overpay Darko, it will be up to the Magic to decide if they want to match it. Bigs are hard to find, and bigs with potential even harder to come by. Just think of all the stiffs getting big minutes in the post all around the NBA. Darko is a work in progress, and with 2/3 of the season left there is plenty of time for him to pull his game together. If he doesn't, well its not like we traded someone good to get him (Kelvin Cato) so the Magic investment is small at this point. Like the Falcon, not enough credit is given to Battie, an in games like last night I would have prefered Battie closing the game over Darko. Brutal |

I'm sorry, but do you see an abundance of seven footers in the NBA? I must've missed them all. He can't be replaced if he has talent and he starts using it. Remember, he's played all of 50 games with the Magic and those are the only meaningful games he's played. Craig |

That kind of attitude is why teams overpay players. They think they are one in a million, when they simply aren't. As of right now, Darko is nothing special. But like I've said, it's still too early to decide how much he's worth. If the season ended today, he wouldn't be worth more than a 4 year $20 million deal to me. If teams were willing to spend more than that, then I would let him go. Also Craig, if the only quality that Darko has is his height, then he is most certainly replaceable. There's no reason to overpay a player because he's a "seven footer." That's silly logic. The Bulls are one of the top teams in the east right now (that's not saying much) and they have one player over 7 feet and he's in the D-league. The Suns tallest player is Pat Burke and he's 6-11. So you can drool all you want over Darko because he's a "seven footer." But the point is, that if we do lose him, it's not the end of the world and we can still be a top team in the league. There's no reason to overpay him and then have future cap problems, just because we don't want a "seaven footer" to leave. Of course, I'm saying all of this based on what I've seen from Darko so far. Hopefully he can improve his game and attitude in the next 2/3 of the season and maybe playoffs. It may cost us some more money, but it would be worth it if he turns into the player that everyone expected on draft night. As of right now, just being a "seven footer" doesn't warrant getting a $60 million deal. Just my two cents. I tried to keep the flaming/b**ching to a minimum for those that noticed, lol. |
