We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. ![]() @ ![]() Miami (13-16) at Orlando (17-14) Magic - 2nd Southeast, 7th East Heat - 3rd Southeast, 9th East What: Regular Season Game #32 Where: Amway Arena When: December 30, 7:00 PM Broadcast: TV -- My 65, Radio -- AM 580 WDBO The Miami Heat hope they can withstand another possible game without Dwayne Wade and extend the stumbling Orlando Magic's season-high losing streak to five games. An injured wrist makes Wade a game-time decision again Saturday when Miami visits its intra-state rival at Amway Arena. The 2006 NBA finals MVP suffered the right wrist injury in Miami's 109-103 loss at Chicago on Wednesday, and missed his third game of the season Friday. Without their All-Star guard, the short-handed Heat (13-16) allowed 21 consecutive points in the third quarter of a 91-81 loss to New Jersey. "We had a horrible, horrible third quarter," Miami coach Pat Riley said. It was Miami's fifth consecutive loss without Wade, who missed two games from Dec. 13-15 after having his wisdom teeth removed. Jason Kapono started in Wade's place, scoring only eight points with one assist. Wade is averaging 27.5 points per game with 7.8 assists. Kapono is expected to start again Saturday if Wade cannot go. Along with Wade, the Heat continue to be without Shaquille O'Neal for an extended period. The All-Star center will miss his 24th consecutive game Saturday after undergoing left knee surgery on Nov. 17. "We're hurting right now," Heat forward Antoine Walker said. "It's unfortunate. We've got to try to keep our head above water." Miami does get James Posey back after the role player served a one-game suspension for a flagrant foul Wednesday on Chicago's Luol Deng. Despite the return of Posey, the Heat may need Wade back in the lineup if they are going to avoid a five-game road losing streak. They last dropped that many away from American Airlines Arena from Dec. 30, 2003-Jan. 15, 2004. Four of those losses were without Wade, who was in his rookie season. Miami has lost its last two meetings with the Magic -- both at home -- including a 107-104 defeat on Nov. 24, as Wade scored 33 points with 15 assists. However, the Heat have won five of their last six games at Amway Arena. Wade came one assist shy of a triple-double in the last contest there on Feb. 15. He had 36 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists in a 110-100 Miami victory. Orlando (17-14) scored a season high on Friday, but fell 112-111 at Washington when Keyon Dooling missed a running 15-foot shot at the buzzer. The defeat extended the Magic's slide to a season-high four games. They have dropped nine of 12 since starting the season with an impressive 14-5 mark. Orlando fell out of first place in the Southeast Division, and leads third-place Miami by three games. Center Dwight Howard, who had 20 points and 12 rebounds against Washington, leads Orlando with averages of 16.9 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. He had 23 points and 12 boards in the last contest against the Heat. Wade is out for tonight but check this out anyway and tell me what you think:

There is a stream for this game. Go to " http://www.myp2p.eu/NBA.htm " and click play for the Magic-Heat game on the column of the p2p software you are using. Last night was unlucky, i hope the guys don't dwell on it too much and go out there tonight ready to take it to the Heat. Theres a good possibility they'll be without D Wade so they'll be stuggling for scorers unless some suprise player seriously steps it up. |

Section 201 tonight. ![]() I'm expecting guys like Kapono, Wright, and Doleac to burn us, but we need to hold up tonight. Last night we should've won, so hopefully they'll make sure not to leave this game in the hands of the officials. |

If that's true then there is no reason for us to not win this game. Go Magic! |

we've been seeing the last few weeks that even though the Magic have really good talent, youth makes them vulnerable. I still don't believe last year's great finish and this year's great start weren't flukes. At any moment we can turn it on and win a lot of games. I hope last night's much improved offense is a glimmer of a team turning the corner. This is the last game with the new/old ball. Our next game will be with the leather ball, hopefully that'll help. |

Dwight Howard = MVP

We better not lose this game. Miami doesn't have Wade so theres no excuse for us to lose this one. If we do then we're in trouble, we'll be on a 5 game losing streak and Miami will only be 2 games behind us. If the Magic play like they did last night then they don't have to worry about losing. |

Kapono & Wright will probably be ones to watch. Wright has some kind of springs in his boots, the dude can block as if he was Zo. |
