McGrady and Howard... What could have been
I wish Dwyane Wade signed with the Magic, or Lebron James of a matter of fact. Gosh they would help us here. The Magic are basically stuck. They have no one who is consistant on this team. Everyone just goes on streaks. Just like the Nets last year. Who lived and died off streaks. They would win 13 games in a row, and then turn around and lose 5 or 6 straight. This is just what we are looking like.

If Orlando had a veteran Superstar, or a young Superstar. They would atleast play consistant, and players would follow suit. When Otis Smith said that he never wanted see Allen Iverson on our court unless he was on the visting team's bus. That really pissed me off. If you want to win, you would of had interest in doing that. Atleast he isn't an Ron Artest, he isn't a cancer. He plays with his heart. Just what the Magic need.

Also. Dwight Howard needs some more game. Dwight need more post moves, and he also needs to develop a jumpshot. because him just giving him the ball inside, team's just know what he is going to do. That's why he has so many turnovers.

Another thing. The plays are really really bad. I see only 3 or 4 plays out there. Give the Ball to Dwight Howard, Grant Hill and move out the way. Pick & Rolls. Other than that, the Magic do what ever they want. those 3 plays just constantly happen. And that's what team's just have to watch.

The Magic were given an early Confernce title. They don't deserve it. They are just the younger version of last year's Nets.

People who say "Dwight Howard needs more help," don't know what they're talking about. I've heard Charles Barkley say that after our loss to Charlotte on TNT. Dwight Howard has done very little in our bad stretch so far. It's not like he's putting up monster numbers and the rest of our guys just suck. He certainly plays a role in our losing ways right now.

I tend to agree. Dwight is slumping and we cant always assume its everyone elses fault. He needs to step it up and be the leader. It looks as if he is a rookie out there sometimes, but hes been in the league 3 years. He has alot of scorers to help him, and if you forgot... were one of the deepest teams in the league so you cant blame it on "not enough help". We just gotta get healthy and start playing like the top team in the East we once were...

I am starting to think we might need a "Vince Carter" on this team to compliment Dwight more. Someone who we know is gonna put up 20-25+ points a night to go with Dwights double doubles. Like mentioned in this thread, nobody else is consistent enough with their scoring.

I want no part of an expensive Vince Carter, professional malcontent, moody semi superstar on the downside of his career. There is not problem this team has that cannot be fixed by a point guard that has the ability to distribute first and hit shots second. Yes, upgrades will be needed at SG as Grant Hill fades into the sunset, and options will be avaliable that will be cheaper and better long term for the Magic than the overrated and admittedly not hard playing VC.

Remember....Vince Carter has won nothing in his career...

Dwight Howard is not being done any favors as the club tries to pound the ball inside when nothing is there. Dwight needs to become better at passing out of double teams, and get a mid rage jumper both of which I expect will happen.

Our PG situation has created a team that struggles to even MOVE the basketball. The stagnet offense could be juiced by adding a PG that accually knows how to play the position, and can chip in some defense as well.

Right now, the core of the future for the Magic as I see it are Ariza and Howard. Ariza is going to be a monster as he tunes his offensive game, Dwight will be just fine as the team puts part in place the ENHANCE his talents.

Rocks blocking shots on guys with dreadlocks
dwight does need a jumper but it seems that we just want him to be the next shaq, which is pretty stupid i think because he is getting pounded on like no tomorrow and if he had somewhat of a mid range jumper he probably wouldnt turn the ball over as much while he is still developing his post game and he would take less of a beating and it might make the officials actually call some of the damn fouls that get put on him

I agree, Brutal. I think Ariza is going to be a special player in this league.

I always though Jameer would be better as a Ben Gordan off the bench instant offense kind of player. I thought Arroyo would be better as the starting point which would put Nelson in that position, but after seeing his play lately, especially when Jameer went down, I'm not so sure he's the right guy. To tell you the truth, I'd really like to see more of Diener. The offense has looked a little better when he runs the point and he has a deadly shot, I just haven't seen enough of him to make any judgement. Like past Magic history, I have a feeling we're going to loose Diener and he is going to be a major contributor on another team.
