Boy....how quickly they turn.  Last month he is coach of the year material around here, now he is garbage.  Brian Hill will not be going anywhere, he has the full support of ownership and the GM.  And Brian may not be done tinkering, he has played a pure shooting non defensive SF before (Dennis Scott), he has not be afraid to give minutes to players that earn them even if it means benching a supposed fixture (Darrell Royal), and he is not afraid to piss off players if need be (the classless Penny Hardaway saga, Penny won the battle but lost the war).

If we see the same problems with the same personell two weeks from now I will be surprised.  A major message has to be sent, and I suspect Brian will send it.  You know who I would tab as the "messenger" but lets see who BHill chooses to use.

Brutal

I never anointed him coach of the year. I am one of the few that have never been that high at Hill. Sure, I dont think he should be fired (yet) but his team is playing like a bunch a p u s s y s and his post game interview yesterday made him sound like one too. He needs to show more fire, and people need to stop defending him while bringing up stuff that happend more then 10 years ago...still never heard of Darrell Royal though.

Show more fire? You dont know what goes on in the locker room. He is a good coach with a good winning percentage. We had most of our starters out with injuries and that blame cant fall solely on the coach.

Hill will not be fired anytime soon... especially because his re-hiring was to "right a wrong". Dont count on him leaving for a while.

275-287 is hardly a "good winning percentage". Anyways I just think our offense is so predictable sometimes. We are last in the league in two categories that I think have a lot to do with coaching. Turnovers and Free Throw shooting.

Here is a play I have seen about a hundred times this week. Throw the ball down low to Dwight. Immediatley after he puts the ball on the floor, he gets double/triple teamed. He tries to throw it out but turns it over. Dwight is frustrated and doesnt get back on defense. The team goes on a fast break and gets an easy 2 (and a lot of times its turns into 3 after a cheap foul)

I was talking about the Magic. He has won 60% of the games as the head coach.

And of course you see that play alot because we try to get the ball to dwight. He needs to use that spin move that we saw the 1st game of the season. He was deadly against the Bulls. You cant put all the blame on the coach when its the players on the court who arent rising to the challenge.

1st game of the season???????? Come Evan, the reason that "deadly spin move" isn't as effective is because teams are game planning against it and have learned how to control it. Coach Hill better learn how to adjust because it isnt working that good anymore.

Oh so now its all coaches fault for losing? Give me a break. Its the players who put the product on the court. The coaches can only do so much to win (or lose), its the players who put it into action.

Ok so now that other teams plan against it, means it cant work... So what about Ray Allen's shot? Teams plan against it but cant stop it... Dwight doesnt try that spin move much anymore. But that wasnt that big of a deal anyways.

EDIT: Oh and another thing. Just because it "isnt working that good anymore" doesnt mean its time for any type of change. The Suns and Mavs started off slow but they came around. Every team has tough times. Everyone who is an NBA fan has heard this phrase: "The NBA is a game of runs" and it so true. Teams win a few lose a few its all in the game... but it doesnt mean that coach Hill needs to change something.

I'm not expecting to make a drastic changes, but he must make better adjustments throughout the season or we wont even make the playoffs again.

Good point. We have got to get on track, but good thing the season is 82 games long.
