He has been one of our brightest spots this season. Having said that, do you guys think this guy will turn into something special in the near future like for example and I dare to say T-Mac.

i think more of a shawn marion type of a player. i think over time, he will be able to shoot the outside shot with consistancy, but he'll still prefer to take it to the basket. he'll also be a great defender in the league. |

I'd say maybe more kinda Gerald Wallacy (ish) which isn't a bad thing. |

It's T-MAC (and I've said it for a year now) only Trevor can actually defend, will still drive to the hole a ton, and won't be a lazy prick.

McGrady and Howard... What could have been
|
No, No McGrady... McGrady would drop 40 in 5 straight games for the Magic and in the process have 9 rebounds and 8 assist. I don't see ariza being that type of player. A Shawn Marion/Gerald Wallace type of player. A guy who could drive and get his points. a Kick-out player. to shoot the long 2 or a 3. If he could do that. He could average 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assist. |

He will not be a McGrady type player. I think as he progresses, he will give you about 17 points a game. His defense and energy are commendable, but he needs to develop a consistent shot to open up some eyes. |

He has made huge strides with his outside shot between last year and this year and will only get better. He will have a total game....and its going to a shame Isiah gets canned in NY, we owe him alot (taking Francis off our hands and giving Ariza). Perhaps he can get a job passing out vollyballs at RDV or selling Amway. Brutal |

I really hope Brian Hill puts him on the bench because we need Ariza to guard Kobe wednesday night. |

I love Trevor, but I've almost always gone with the moral courtesy of giving an injured starter his job back to see if he can continue to earn it or re-earn it. Hedo has earned the right to get a shot at getting back on track. It's good to have Trevor ready to tag himself in incase Hedo still isn't right. |

Ariza is my boy, but for now he isnt close to TMac. He needs to develop his jumper more and work on his finesse game. For now he is just a brute athlete. If he works hard, the sky is the limit. |

I totally agree. But lately he has been getting better every game by leaps and bounds. I wouldnt be suprised if next season he is one of our top scorers. He seems like a Gerald Wallace type of player to me... will get you points, rebounds, blocks, steals, some assists, all while shooting a good percentage from the floor. An all around great player, someone that teammates love to play with. |
