We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

Some posters on this board want a better PG. I read on realgm that Andre Miller could be on the move again. Wondered what you all would think on going for him? I personally really like him, this season he is averaging 9.1 assists per game with 13 points. |

I actually went on trade checker and did my "dream" wishful thinking trade lol 3 tream trade: ORL, PHI & LAC Orlando recieves Andre Miller Corey Maggette Philly recieves Carlos Arroyo Pat Garrity Clippers recieve Hedo Turkoglu That way Andre gets his playoff contenders and we get our pass first point guard, have Jameer our scoring spark from the bench, we also get Maggette like some of us want and he wants to be here, and the best bit..we get rid of Garrity!! Might not work in real life but it works on trade checker lol. |

I doubt the Sixers and Clippers will go for that one. Maggette is worth more than Hedu and why in the world would the Sixers want Garritty (who only value is an expiring contact and not a big one at that) and Arroyo (who will probably be one of those guys that playes for 10 teams when its said and done, and none will be happy with what they get). I would love Miller. The problem is that in order to get him we would have to give up something of value. If I were an NBA GM, I would target Ariza knowing Howard was untouchable. If I were the Magic Ariza would be untouchable. But, Philly is an interesting situation, they already have an Arizalike player in Igodala. They also have a fan base that is unhappy. I doubt it will happen...but here would be my suggestion... Philly gets Nelson (hometown hero....a bone to the Philly fan base) Darko Garrity (if they want him, the trade can go through with or without him) Orlando gets Miller Real GM says the trade would go through. Miller has a trade kicker and trade restriction (because of the recent trade) in his contract so Philly, if they deal him has to get his ok. If I were Andre Miller I would go to Orlando in a heartbeat. The Magic would have to get another big from somewhere, Outlaw and Battie would have to step up in Darko's absence, but Miller could be the missing piece. Philly gets peices to rebuild with, I am not a big Darko guy based on what I have seen, but he has that fabled "upside potential" and Nelson again is a hometown hero that may please the fan base (unless they are savvy basketball fans and seen him play). Drafting Marbury + Foyle = Championship. \o/

Brutal, with that trade, you would stay with: Dwight/nobody Battie/Bo As our bigs. That makes absolutely no sense because things don't happen like you said: "The Magic would have to get another big from somewhere". Bigs don't grow on trees. I'm an Andre Miller fan, but if we can't get him with a package of Dooling and/or Arroyo and/or Bogans, there's no point in overloading our backcourt even more. |

Your right about the "bigs" issue. And we can wait til the off season to address the PG situation (which would mean this year is a loss). Your deal would be great for the Magic...but the Sixers would be foolish to take it. Brutal |

Pure domination

As Otis has said there will be no moves this unless something we cannot refuse comes our way. I think it will be wise to wait until the offseason to go after any player. |

McGrady and Howard... What could have been
|
I bet when we get this guy. Then we stop scoring like what happened the games Jameer didn't play. Everyone will want him back at starter. I garuntee |

Last nights offensive "breakout" was a product of allowing Golden State to set the tempo. Tonight you will see the Magic in the 80's again. Brutal |

We dont need any changes to this team. We are in the top of the East for goodness sakes. The only trades Otis should make are the ones that will get Pat Garrity out of here for a superstar (or a trade that gets rid of him period). Anything else... no. |

The only trade our team needs to make at this point is for more money next year or Pat Garrity for anything. |

Dwight Howard = MVP

Yea I didn't think they were gonna trade him anyways. Hes a good player the Sixers need him. I think he would of been a good fit on the Magic though. |
