We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. I would trade for him. I bet we can put together a trade. Here are some deals that work salary wise (checked with realgm trade checker): 1. Pat Garrity and Keyon Dooling for Maggette. 2. Hedo and Diener for Maggette. 3. Arroyo and Dooling for Maggette. 4. Arroyo and Bogans for Maggette. 5. Hedo, Augustine and Fran for Maggette. For the people who dont know much about him here some info: Hes a 6'6" Guard-Forward. Played at Duke, graduated in 2002. Played with the Magic in 1999-2000. Born on 11/12/79 so hes turning 28 next year. So he still has a long while in the league. Hoopshype says:

Apparently, Maggette is unhappy with coach Dunleavy in LA. |

He is injury prone though. He's not Grant Hill injury prone but never the less, he sometimes has probably 15+ games a season out. Haven't seen him in a while but last time i checked he wasn't the greatest defender either. However, good rebounder and get's points on the board. Coming off the bench for Clips he is averaging 14.5 points with 5.9 rebounds. |

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/corey_maggette/ His numbers are down because he volunteered to come off the bench for the Clippers. He has averaged 20.2 ppg in the past 3 seasons as a starter, before this season. |

He would be awesome to have on our team again but like Magic.Man his injuries kinda worries me. But If I were Otis I would take a chance with a guy as talented as Maggette. |

He's said for years he's wanted to come back, but I doubt we're gonna give up anyone of value to us to get him (as much as I'd love to pull out my Maggette jersey from the closet). ![]() His injury woes are not exactly appealing though.

I would prefer to do either options 2 or 5. I would want to keep Dooling. Hedo I could part with. Diener even though we all love, I would give up for Maggette. |

McGrady and Howard... What could have been
|
I wouldn't trade Diener... He is a good back-up to Jameer. And he could start if he could. Garrity + Bogans + a Future 1st round pick = Corey Maggette Good Pick because Garrity is a great 3 point Threat. Bogans would replace Corey at the bench. Bogans would understand his roll at being back-up. He would be a great roll player who would kick out to Elton Brand were Double team. 1st round Pick just to sweeten up the deal. ![]() I really wouldn't trade Hedo... He is one of the Few 3 point threats on the team. So I would want to keep him on the team. Hedo would be a great bench player Like he has always been for us. |

I'm not sure the Clippers would see it that way. Maybe if you ignore Garrity's dismal 3 point percentage (a whopping 21%), and the fact that Bogans is averaging 4 points a game, maybe just maybe the Clippers would take the deal. If we want Maggette, we have to give them some scoring to replace him with. Dooling or Turkoglu might make it possible, but they certainly aren't going to take our trash for their treasure. |

turk hasnt done much this season and he wont be missed if hes replaced by someone like maggette. once again, theres no point in talking about this, since the magic dont want to make any trades at this moment and possibly ruin the great chemistry this team has. if we start losing games consistantly, then maybe we should pull the trigger on a deal for maggette. |

I would be interested in this trade, but I'd first want to see who/what the Magic were willing to part with. I've been on the "pursue Maggette" bandwagon for about 2-3 years now, so yeah I'm down with this. |

I think a player like Maggette would be perfect on this team. I just dont see Otis pulling the trigger cause he wants to avoid another Mobley/Christie fiasco that doomed our team 2 years ago |
