Cleveland (14-8) at Orlando (15-10)
Cavs- 1st Central, 1st East
Magic- 1st Southeast, 3rd East

What: Regular Season Game #26
Where: Amway Arena
When: December 16, 7:00 PM
Broadcast: TV -- MY 65, Radio -- WDBO

The Orlando Magic are mired in their longest losing streak of the season. Not so coincidently, Dwight Howard is struggling with his worst stretch of play of the year.

It will be a tough task for Howard and the Magic to turn things around Saturday as they host the Cleveland Cavaliers, owners of the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Orlando (15-10) has lost three straight and five of the last six following a 13-4 start to 2006-07. Howard, who is averaging a team-high 17.2 points per game on the season, is scoring just 10.3 points over the last three games, including 10 in the Magic's 99-89 Thursday loss to the last-place club in the Southeast Division, the Charlotte Bobcats.

Howard, though, did add 12 rebounds for his 17th double-double of the season.

The Magic committed 23 turnovers -- their most in 16 games.

"You aren't going to win any games turning the ball over like that," Orlando coach Brian Hill said. "Their front line outworked our front line the entire evening. It's tough to win games when the other team is working harder than you."

Orlando was playing without starting forwards Grant Hill (left knee) and Hedo Turkoglu (ankle), and starting point guard Jameer Nelson (strained groin). All three are considered day-to-day.

Saturday's game begins a three-game homestand for the Magic, who are 8-4 at home this season and have won nine of Cleveland's last 12 visits since 2000-01.

The Cavaliers (14-8) have won four of their last five games, including a 106-84 win over the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday. LeBron James finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, while Larry Hughes scored a team-high 25 points in his second straight start after missing 10 games with a sprained ankle.

A 64-45 halftime lead allowed several Cleveland starters to get some needed rest heading into Saturday, which will be the team's fourth game in five days.

James, who entered Friday averaging 40.3 minutes per game, played less than 34 against Seattle. There is concern about the amount of minutes the 21-year-old is playing, as he is averaging more than five fewer points than last season.

"It can wear on you a bit," James said of the NBA's 82-game schedule. "But you have to get through it."

The Cavaliers are looking to win three consecutive games for the first time since a season-high five-game winning streak from Nov. 9-17. Since then, the team has gone 7-6 with five of the losses coming on the road, where Cleveland is shooting just 41.9 percent from the field.

"We know how good we can be," Hughes said. "We've just got to keep it going."

Cleveland won three of four games against Orlando last season, and has taken eight of 11 meetings overall in the series since the 2003-04 season.

We are second in the East right now. The Cavs own the #1 spot. If we beat the Cavs tonight, we will once again be #1 in the East.

This could be another L. I am not so confident about our chances on this one.

Cavs seem to be pulling things together, while Orlando is coming apart at warp speed. I have seen the Cavs play some real stinkers early in the year, and unless some of the injured starters get back, or the team finds some sort of offensive flow its gonna take a stinker by the Cavs to pull this one out.

I hope for a focused and passionate Orlando team tonight. Been awhile since I have seen that.

BTW this game will be shown on http://www.myp2p.eu/NBA.htm. Be sure to download a software to watch the game. I recommend using TVU because it has better resolution.

MAGIC UPDATE: SG Grant Hill said he will return to the lineup tonight after missing Thursday's game in Charlotte, N.C., because of tendinitis in his left knee. He will spend part of his night trying to guard SF LeBron James, which might make his knee hurt even more. PG Jameer Nelson (groin) and SF Hedo Turkoglu (ankle sprain) will remain on the sideline, but both could be ready when the Magic play again Wednesday against the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets after three days without a game. SG Keith Bogans (ankle sprain) also is possible for tonight. The Magic have been struggling badly with so many injuries, losing five of their past six. . . . Cleveland's victory Friday dropped Orlando into third in the Eastern Conference.

Larry Hughes is back in the mix for Cavs now so that's another player for us to try to keep quiet. Probably going to lose.

I'd love to say that this is the game we turn things around, but I highly doubt it. I definitely expect this to be a loss tonight, but I just hope we can be competitive, unlike some of the past few games.

Well hopefully the Cavs take our depleted team lightly, and we can hang around until the end and squeak out another close win.

According to Yahoo! Sports...

"Nelson will be a game-time decision for the Magic on Saturday against Cleveland due to a right groin strain, according to the Orlando Sentinel."
