We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. true, but if weisbrod wasn't here, I don't think we would have drafted Howard. any other person would have gone with the more accomplished Okafor. I would take Howard's future over McGrady's back problems. |

I don't believe McGrady. While I realize that Weisbrod was a major part of the problem, I specifically remember T-Mac wanting the Magic to trade our pick for an established big man to help him out. I think now that he sees Howard has a more promising future than Ming, he's trying more and more to make both the organization and the fans see that he's not the bad guy in this situation. Weisbrod didn't handle T-Mac well, but T-Mac didn't handle his exit well either. Remember the shots he took at our city and our fans? Hmm...I wonder why he isn't doing that anymore.

Howard has a more promising future than YAO?? I understand how as fans Dwight is looking good, but while I think it is possible Dwight still hasn’t grown enough as a player to give a solid "more promising" than YAO statement.. As soon as Dwight is double and triple teamed EVERY TIME he touches the ball and puts up YAOs numbers I say hold off on that statement for a few years.. |

Yao currently puts up better stats than Dwight, but I don't hear half the league remarking at how amazing Ming will be like they do with Howard. |

I'm pretty sure T-Mac wonders how it would have been playing along side Dwight. |

i dont care what mcgrady says, if we gave into his demands, then we would have traded away the first round pick (howard) for an already "proven" player. howard is the future and hes already leading the league in rebounds in his second season. oh yeah, and hes only 20. if mcgrady wants to PLAY here, im all for it, but if he wants to run the organization like he tried to do a few years ago, then he can go screw himself. |

I think regardless we would have chosen Dwight. The whole organization decided on him. jameer could have been a question mark, but orlando liked him for a long time. But who knows. |

McGrady and Howard... What could have been
|
McGrady didn't really have a back problem in his last year here. He played 67 games, and the rest was an injured ankle and the Magic giving him the rest of the year off. That's probably true too. If we don't trade away McGrady, Howard wouldn't be here. |

Hes had back probelms on and off for quite some time... it just makes you wonder, how long is his back gonna hold up? I'd rather have Howard... |
