We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Just one comment. If you think the coach is is coaching to the best of his abilities, then why have this fan comment board. I personally don't think us fans should only chear lead. If something ain't going right, we should comment on it. If Hill is going to throw a start a unit with no point guard, a unit that can't even get the ball up the floor, he should be called on it. |

From Darko's own words:
Link Even our man Darko understands. It's not like he can play 20+ minutes just like that.

In my opinion, Darko was just talking generally about improving. He was not talking about any certain thing. NBA players always talk about getting better and through playing time and practice with his new team, he will do just that. As for the Magic team making the playoffs, it is up to them. They cannot look to see who loses and anticipate whether they can make it. They just have to go out and play as hard and as smart as they can, each game. They have to be unselfish and not look to only score points but to get each other the best shot opportunities they can. Passing is contagious as we have seen already. When you pass the ball, teammates get so that they pass you the ball. If you are a 'black hole', and throwing you the basketball means it never comes back, the team suffers. Darko will get better as he makes Dwight better. Carlos will get better when he makes Darko and Dwight better. And so on it goes right down the line. When Nelson comes back and there is even more competition at the 1, it will benefit the team and that is wht is important. I would not want them to play out the season to not make the playoffs. Getting the higher draft pick does not mean as much as going through the rest of the season and beginning next year on a winning note and having the confidence in their teammates and themselves. We need to finish out this season in the best possible manner and let the chips fall where they may. |

I think it would be better for the players if we made the playoffs for went .500 but it would be better for the team if we got the draft pick so if we can go inbetween then we should be ok. |

Benjams, might not get the draft pick because it depends on where we finish. Detroit might get the pick. I think we are better if we go all out and try to get a playoff spot. Granted, we will more than likely play the Pistons, but a playoff berth is better than no playoff berth. Look at the playoff experience the team would get even in the first round. And you never know what happens if you get into the playoffs. Whole new ballgame. |

well I was just thinking a draft pick could help but we dont need it really bad because of all our cap room, but it woudl be nice to have another scorer who can help us on the defensive end as well |

Benjams, we would still get a pick if we make the playoffs, just not as high one. I have heard from many posters that it is easier to pick up a good 2 or 3 from a draft or trade than a 1, 4, or 5. That seems to be the opinion as I have seen it. So we could probably get that help either in the draft or a trade or a free agent. Lots of chances. Hope the right one comes to fruition. |

False. Detroit gets the 2007 draft pick not the 2006. We can play like all stars and still get our pick. |
