We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Prince would be awesome in our line-up. We will finally get a defensive stoper if we can get him. Too bad you guys said we will not have a chance to grab him. |

The only starting job we really need to look at is at SG. G-Hill, Hedo, Ariza and even Plastic Man for now has the SF spot covered. And then PG and Bo can slide into that spot. That's why we don't Harrington. And yes, we will most likely only be able to offer the MLE to free agents this summer. Too bad too, 'cause I think we could bring Peja down here for pretty cheap, reunite him with Hedo. Plus, I love his Greek Supermodel wife.

Im not too knowledgable about who is coming out in this year's draft. Does anyone know of any good forwards besides Morrison that we can take to fill our SF spot? I say 'besides Morrison' because I already know about him, not that I dont want him. It would be great if we could get him. I am not sold on Turk as our starting SF, nor Grant. Turk would be a perfect backup SF in my opinion given his streakiness (same knock Deshawn has). |

Aleka Kamila:![]() ![]() She's actually even more gorgeous now than she was in these pics a few years ago. Now that she had a kid a year ago, she's nota supermodel anymore, but she's still worshipped in Greece.

THere is NO possible way we get Prince. I would love to get Harrington, but since he is one of very few FA's availbale this year, Im sure someone is going to offer him close to max dollars. We need to just continue with our team in tact until the 2007 season when we can get a lights out shooting guard, and either a really solid SF or C. |

I dont see us getting Prince either, but I dont see it as impossible. Sadly, if we get him I can see us having to overpay. |

While getting Prince to be our defensive stopper would be great, Tayshaun is about to get paid. He will be way out of our financial league come free agency. But that's okay. Has everyone forgotten about our new guy Ariza? Doesn't he have a similar wingspan of Prince that makes him so formidable on defense? So Ariza can't shoot as well as Prince, he's only 20 years old. The thing that each have in common is that they commit to defense. It something that all NBA players can do, but rather choose not to. If you have a guy in SF role that plays excellent defense, you invest in him and let him gain experience. This is the guy that will guard the Kobes', Pierces', Lebrons and such. Second, with all this talk about where our needs are and we should get a SF because Hedo and Grant... blah blah blah. First, Hedo is better starter material over Deshaun. Second behind Deshaun is Dooling who's more suited to play PG over SG. This team lacks a scorer. Especially an outside scorer. Focus on a starting SG who can score especially from outside. When an opposing team comes to the 'House, this there one player that they are scared of? Do you see double teams near the three point line ever?? How about underneath around the rim in the key? Sure all the time. Players respect Dwight Howard and will not leave him unguarded. They don't respect Deshaun's deep shot, or Dooling's, or Hedo's, or Arroyo's or Nelson's, I could go on all day. Either draft or sign a dead shot shooter. Make other teams respect your deep ball and you'll get easier, higher presentage baskets in the key. Oh and all these people saying, Al Harrington is great because he averages 18/7 and that would be great on the Magic. Is it easier to get rebounds when Zaza Pachulia is your center (Harrington is starting PF). Or when you have Howard/Battie/Darko inhaling every rebound bouncing the Magic's way? Keep in mind that the Hawks have no scorers either except for Johnson. Points have to come from somebody, it just so happens that Harrington is there. Harrington comes here those numbers plummet to 12/4 average. |
