We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Missed most of the first quarter, but the Magic have come out and started this game really strong just like the Nets game. I also imagine many people on this forum are happy that Darko is finally getting some playing time. You've got to get him time to get adjusted to playing for the Magic. Arroyo has played a lot of basketball in his career, unlike Darko who really hasn't played in the NBA. Give him time, and stop getting on Hill's case. I imagine Brian Hill, a coach who has taken the Magic to the Finals before knows what he's doing.

Dwight Howard is extremely happy. You can see it in his face. He's come out tonight, stayed out of foul trouble, and has 13 points and 10 rebounds. Simply amazing. He's thriving in the new system, with two playmakers running the point, three if you count Grant Hill, and the entire offense is doing well. More importantly, they're playing good defense. Howard is playing well to start this game. He needs to be more of a presence in the paint, challenging shots, and making a difference in shots. Also, Darko has come out and played extremely well. I like what I'm seeing. He's still lost at times as you can visibly soon. He'll get used to the system soon though. He'll get used to playing in an NBA game as well. Nice start, ten minutes, six points, one rebound, and one block. Nicely done.

Now, can I say give some props to Grant Hill? He's come out, played, and played well tonight. I've been saying it... but don't trade him. Keep him. Let his contract run out, and then sign him to a nice three year contract. Keep him around. Let him be the veteran of the team, teach this team, and then let him retire as a Magic player. So few people get to retire as a Magic player, and he's one that deserves that. We've stuck by him, and he's going to respect that. That's the kind of guy he is. So, I see him finishing his career. He can still start if need be, and has already scored 17 points tonight. He's still a great scorer, something this team can use. He's a veteran, which is something this team needs as well. Keep him Magic. Show him more loyalty. He can still play a few seasons, maybe one more as a starter, and the rest as a back-up to the 1, 2, or 3 position.

Arroyo and Dooling are playing really well, getting everyone involved in the system. Impressive.

No Ariza tonight? Has he not passed his physical yet?

I remember scouting reports stating he had range out to 20 feet. He's got a really good jump shot for a big man.

Yeah, I've read some scouting reports that said he had a nice shot range and could hit open jumpers easilly, but you know scouting reports... they always hype players like they're the new Michael Jordan... :P
But anyway, great to see (listen :P ) Darko having 8 minutes so far and hitting his shots!
Now give us a sighting of Ariza and make us all happy, BHill!!

MM, Im watching the Knicks-Nets game, and my LORD its pathetic. Francis looks awful especially. Almost all of the Nets scores have been dunks.

Francis guarding Vince Carter? One of MANY mismatches.

I have to go with Magiclive ideas here... I sometimes got irritated with Francis because of his game, but never, NEVER thought his trade could be so good for the team.
I know it's only our 2nd (or 3rd?) game without him, but how many games have we had 58 points at halftime? Everyone seems to be having a good time playing... the crowd is excited, the fans all over the message boards are thrilled and now we all are certain that the future is bright.

And who would guess that it's due to Otis?
So far: best GM in a long time for the Magic!

Thanks man. I'll try. I posted a lot the first day, and just have to fit it in my day to come over here and share my thoughts on different things. I've had a busy few days, and just been doing so much. I'll try to post more and more when I get free time.

Thanks again.
