NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. I think Smith and the Magic Organization will continue to evaluate Grant's position on the team. If the team continues to play well with him in the starting line up, then I can see them keeping him. There's nothing against making a change in the plan to make it better.

Very well said. I think you are absolutely correct.

Craig, are you this Craig?: http://www.comicavalanche.com/Interviews/craigmaloof.htm

Thanks.

And yes, that is me. My awful, dirty secret is out. I'm a comic book/graphic novel writer/creator. I didn't want to bore you all with the details of that.

So, did you just do a Google search of me, or had you read that interview before, and then remembered it when I came here?

The slashes just make it seem like more. I use them to be fancy and sophisticated.

Darkofan/lee; read and enjoyed your well documented posts on Arroyo and Darko in the Pistons Talk forum; looking forward to reading more from you here! BTW, and trying not to become Captain Obvious, I am Puerto Rican!

Hey, pass the word. Tell all of Arroyo's fans to continue to go by the Pistons forum back at detnews.com and thank Joe Dumars profusely for letting Arroyo come to Orlando where he can play in front of so many of them. And really, really lay it in thick when Arroyo has particulary good games. I would not mind if you mentioned how good Darko is doing while you are at it.

I still post at the nba.com/pistons forum thanking the organization for giving new life to Arroyo and Darko, but I have never (and probably never will) post at PistonsTalk; some posters there are simply scary! but again, your posts are enjoyable since the objective statistics you present are usually attacked with "13 year-old, insult-based, irrational statements and/or personal attacks".

Nevertheless, I do like it here; posters here seem to be very fair and more importantly, extremely respectful!

Anyhow, nice to meet you sir!

Dirty secret? Haha.

I actually heard the name Maloof and googled the name because as someone mentioned earlier, I wanted to see if there was any relation to the Maloof brothers of the Sacramento Kings.

Great to have another artsy fartsy guy on the boards. I work in the cartoon industry myself, specifically cartoons for television. I'm currently developing my own cartoon for television in addition to juggling some work I've done on a bunch of projects already on tv. Always great to meet another person in the industry.

I'm not serious. It's not a dirty secret. ;)

I'm supposed to have some relation to the Maloof Brothers out in Sacramento. Have I met them? Nah. Do I have any desire to meet hem? Not really. I mean, it'd be cool to meet them, but I'm not going to actively try and get to know them, you know what I'm saying. They weren't part of my life before, and I see no reason for them to be part of my life now.

If you mean another person in the industry by saying another failing person, looking for a break, and some money so they'll stop eating lint and dust out of other people's houses, then hello! I've got a handful of projects in development, and in April I'll be off in Toronto, followed by Philadelphia in June as well as Charlotte. Then I'll be in San Diego in July, and Chicago and Atlanta in August. I've got a busy schedule ahead of me, and hopefully my big break will come in the next month or so.

very cool to have all you guys from different backgrounds and areas. its just cool to see the diversity. but best of all this site doesnt have the problems like realgm and other boards do. like with all the "13 year-old, insult-based, irrational statements and/or personal attacks." like CGM was saying. its great that we dont have to worry about that here. for the most part.

God is LOVE
You know what I'm loving about this team?

We are rebuilding and don't even look like it! Re-building teams are teams that play like the Hawks or the McGrady-less Rockets. We are totally not playing like that! We look more like a team that only needs one or two more pieces to really become a contender, not only for a playoff berth, but probably for a conference championship!

It is just so mind-boggling to me how we are so deep and have so much talent and at the same time we are setting ourselves up for a blockbuster FA signing in the next 2 years! If I were management, I don't even think I would make any moves this off-season...just let these guys continue to grow and play together.

Almost every guy on this team is a player that has been overlooked by the media in some form or another. Almost like the Pistons were a whole mess of guys that were overlooked as well. What goes around, comes around!

From what I heard during the game, this was the third sell-out in a row.

Or maybe he said it was the third sell-out of the season? I don't really know...

Either way, great to see another sell-out. The more money the Magic make, the happier the owner is with staying in Orlando!

 Nah, I'm not at that stage yet. By reading that interview, it sounds like you are a very creative promising talent, so no need to be modest. Your stuff looks great! :)
I currently work for a prodominent animation company in the U.S. and for the past few weeks I have been at meetings and business dinners in regards to my own cartoon pitch that I have been working on outside of my company. I'd be very happy if something happened, but who knows. Early indications are that something will, at least on France, so we'll see I suppose.

I'm usually not that candid about myself on the boards, but I feel like since I called you out I'd be a complete jackass if I didnt answer your question (somewhat vaguely) about what I do, haha.

Man, I'm starting to learn how many fascinating personalities one can meet on these boards :wow:

Wow! What a game!

Arroyo!! He's Back!!

I think we may see him starting from now on and then competing with nelson when he gets back. I mean Nelson is a great player, but I have never seen him run the team like Arroyo did tonight. Nelson never achieved this kind of chemistry with the team, and its only Arroyo's third game with the team!!!! I think some posters here may want to get used to the idea that Arroyo is a real challenge for Nelson for the starting spot, and even a better fit for this team!

But I think we will have to see how Nelson does without Francis first before we get a definitive answer on this. But if Arroyo can keep this up...
