PG - Arroyo, Diener, Nelson (IR)

SG - Stevenson, Dooling

Okay.......

Exactly, we got 5 guards and the Hawks got 3 SFs.

I don't get it...
so the Hawks have three SFs, whats the point and why did the hawks enter this equation?

What I like most is not only did Otis make us younger with a ton of potential, but we are young AND balanced. This isnt the hawks who have a hundred small forwards on there team.

Then I said we have a hundred guards tho.

You get it now JonBoy418?

Otis you sly b**ch.... Good job man, can't believe you would do that. Otis is probably the best GM we have ever had. Due to the fact he made some good trades the past 2 weeks.

I think we're not seeing eye to eye...

Atlanta:
#1 - Horrible example to use if you're refering to inbalanced teams.

Look no further than New York and their guard system: Francis, Marbury, Crawford, Robinson and those are their potential point guards!!!

Or before the Seattle trade where they had Vitaly Potepenko, Nick Collison, Reggie Evans, Johan Petro, Danny Fortson, Robert Swift, Mikki Moore are all Power Forwards or Centers

#2 - They are not inbalanced when it comes to SF. A lot of their SF players are combo guards.

SG: Joe Johnson, Josh Childress
SF: Al Harrington, Josh Smith

Furthermore, I don't think Orlando has too many guards.

PG - Nelson, Arroyo, Diener (who is about 10th or 11th in rotation anyways)
SG - Stevenson, Dooling

Our problem is the LACK of quality guards. Dooling is a very small SG, and perhaps, not the most effective. Stevenson is a good back up, but not starter material. If anything, we need to add a good SG at the expense of Stevenson, Dooling, or Diener

Okay........

Marvin Williams
Joe Johnson
Josh Childress
Josh Smith
Al Harrington

all pretty much small forwards, while Johnson can play the 2 as well. That is one position. I dont know why you brought guards into this, that is 2 positions and most teams have at least 5, which is what we have.

Uhhh, everyone knows the Hawks have too many SFs. THat is why they were bashed for taking Marvin Williams in the draft over Chris Paul. They needed a PG and took ANOTHER small forward.

It sounded like you were agreeing that the Hawks have too many SF.

To make it simpler, the Magic lack in the Shooting Guard position. Point Guard is perfect.

It's not that they have too many SF. Like I said before, the Hawks have a lot of combo players. Marvin Williams and Al Harrington can play PF as well.

There's a difference of getting criticism when drafting a position that you already have depth at and not drafting where your need is.

For example: 1984 draft-

Portland Trailblazers select..... Sam Bowie?

It depends on how you look at positions. I know I would never want Marvin Williams to be my power forward. Harrington can play it but his natural skill is at small forward, considering he is mostly on the perimeter. Childress and Smith are definite small forwards. Joe Johnson can play both wing positions. I just dont see any balance on that team.
