With only 31 games to go can the Magic make it? I think they can, which is different from will. Philly is the 8th seed with 25-28 and I seriously think that Magic have a chance. They are 19-32, if they can win atleast 60% of their games they may have a good chance. If Philly win 40% at the most that will put them at 37-45 while if Magic get their 60% they can be at 38-44. Though doubtful as this may be if the Magic regroup they can do this. Its not like they have to win all of them, but it is very doubtful. Even if they tie it but have taken the 8th seed earlier on, their in. Sadly enough it wont be a Magic Playoff tree this year. We can always hope though because I wouldn't mind going to a Magic Playoff game myself.

Any thoughts?

I'm not saying we're gonna win the playoffs just that we have a chance of slipping in their for good measure.

I agree with NBA The Life that was do have a shot. The east is just that bad. Who knows how much of a spark Darko and Arroyo will be from the get-go?
The only way I see us doing it this year is if we 1) Dont trade Francis, he comes back and plays like his old self (not the best for our team long term, but would be good for now) 2) Nelson comes back from injury 3) Darko and Arroyo pan out nicely.

Those things can happen. I think one or more of them wont, but thats just my opinion. :)

exactly. I did the math and all and If we stick to what I said and stay 60% we can slip in. I never said win it but just get in it. Maybe Stevie snaps out of his slump and plays like his old All-Star self and the Darko, Arroyo trade greatly boosts our defense and our offense.

Never say never. There is always a chance as doubtful as it is. I have a strong feeling we won't win it but hey maybe the Magic can get it together who knows. Saying we're gonna lose tonight isn't always a sure thing I mean the Hawks upset the Pistons when all the top ranks in all divisions have lost agains't them

Like Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith said, the Cavs are a streaky team at times. Sometimes they'll win like 8 straight then lose like 6 straight. Hopefully everytime we meet them from now on their in their losing streak  ;)

Theres no way we're gonna win 60% of our games and even if we did I still dont think we would make the playoffs. This season is over for the playoffs. The rest of the season is mostly for Darko. Just to give him some playing time and stuff since we aren't going to the playoffs.

60% isn't that much (granted it would be with our record). Now 70% would be quite impressive. :wow:

WE'RE ONLY 5 1/2 GAMES OUT OF 8TH.

I've seen teams almost 10 games back after the All Star Break in the East make a run and get into the playoffs.

I agree. We are not that far off from the 8th spot. It's still a possibility. If we start off in a losing streak in the 2nd half, then we are done.

I read an article I think from the Sentinel saying we need to go 21-10 from now until the end of the season to have a shot at the playoffs
