We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Hello: I'm new to the area and would like to start attending magic games. It appears as though the avg. announced attendance is only around 13,000. Therefore, a lot of empty seats can probably be found on most nights. In many other NBA cities with low attendance, it is easy to buy cheap seats and move later. However, in a few cities this is close to impossible (Charlotte!). Does anyone have any experience doing this in Orlando? If so, how easy is it - do you need to buy lower level seats to move to better lower level seats or will an upper level cheap seat be enough to get you closer if there are no-shows/empty seats? Thanks for any tips. j. |

First off, welcome to the board. There are ushers at every lower bowl section who check tickets and make sure only people in those sections go down any further. Of course, some people are sneaky and can slide past ushers, but if you're asking whether or not the ushers and staff allow or encourage it, then no, they do not. Any experience I personally have had in moving down is when I'm already in the lower bowl and late in a game move down even closer. That's about it. I think the ushers leave their positions late in the 4th quarter as well... |

Hey thanks for the welcome - I'm glad I found the forumn.. well - i went to the raptors-magic game tonight and had no problem buying a couple of $30 seats for the lower area and turning those into Row D by the middle of the 2nd quarter. Unfortunately, magic were up by 13 at the end of one and managed to squander their lead and lose the game - but great seats for 60 bux (2 tix) compared to what we used to get in detroit! |

yeah for me its real easy. we would buy those cheap 10 dollar upper bowl seats and then move down into open upper bowl seats. you can do the same if you bought lower bowl seats but i dont because i have low enough seats. but welcome to magicmadness, hope you enjoy the magic and going to the games. |

the best time to sneak down into the lower bowl after purchasing some $10 tickets is during halftime when hundreds of people are walking by the ushers |

I go to a lot of games in the lower bowl, and I would be happy to sneak anyone down from the upper bowl. Its really easy if you have a few lower bowl tickets. You just have one person from your group leave the seats with a few tickets and then let upper bowlers use em to get into your section. I will be happy to post whenever I am going to a game and arrange to meet any Magic fan and help them get into the lower bowl. |

what i've done in the past is buy cheap tix and just wait till a few people go into one of the lower bowl section doors, cuz they don't check everyone's tickets if you come into the LB doors with a few people, even though you don't even know who they are. Thats what i've done |
