Nelson's 3pt and free throw shooting percentages have really improved this year. I hadn't noticed that until I looked at his stats... |

#1 Howard: Any other choice is most uncivilized! #2 Francis: He is the spiritual center of our team, as much as I would hate to admit it. We are useless when he is out. With Hill, we at least could win because we were USED to him being out. #3 Nelson: He has stepped up when Francis has been out and shown that he is continuing his development. -Hill isnt on this list because his injury history has made him completely unreliable. -Turkoglu isnt on here because although he has been playing well lately, he is Mr. Streaky -Stevenson isnt on here because he has games where I forget he is even on the floor. There you have it!

I'm taking a slightly different apporach: #1 DeShawn Stevenson- Mr. Consistency has scored in double-figures in every game this season except one where his leg was acting up. All this is being done on one leg, and you can make the case the DeShawn has been responsible for winning a few games this season. This guy shouldn't even be on the court, yet he is. ![]() #2 Stevie Franchise- A f*cked up chest won't stop him. His point total may have dropped, but fewer technicals and turnovers have made a big difference. He's distributing the ball more and again is proving how much a leader he is. #3 D-Flight- The kid should be an All Star. He's still not getting the ball as much as he deserves to, but he improves even more as the season goes along and takes advantage of every opportunity he gets.

wow that is a different apporach. I never really thought of Deshawn as one of the top 3 players on the team. I do have to give him credit for playing rather well when he was still hurt though. |

You sure it's him sucking? 21 5rpg 7apg last year. he took bad shots and turned the ball over way too much. But put up decent numbers, and he won a few games for us at the buzzer. This year 17 4rb 5apg I was wrong in the Magic vs. Mavs thread about him avg. more Apg, but he's handling the ball less. he's commitng less TO"s than last year. and Taking LESS bad shots. I think he's a much improved PG, I would take him over Jameer at this point, Stevenson is improved, Garrity is still garbage, kasun, cato all need to go. I would have to say. Francis- Still our go to guy Stevenson- Underrated by us IMO Howard- Way improved from last year. I would have to say i's just you, It seems that your looking at it as a personal thing rather than a basketball thing. |

DR3 CAME THROUGH IN THE CLUTCH. THANK YOU FOR THAT. I DIDNT PUT JAMEER ON MY LIST EITHER. HE'S PLAYIG WELL BUT NOT DOING ANY ONE THING TO PUT HIM ON THE LIST OVER FRANCIS. IT'S ALL ABOUT POPULARITY. AND THATS WHAT DHOWARD'S PROBLEM IS WITH STEVE. HE'S NOT ON HIS LIST OF FAVORITE PLAYERS, SO HE MUST BE TRADED, OR HE SUCKS. WHEN IN REALITY SOMEONE POSTED OUR WINS AND LOSSES WITH AND WITH OUT STEVE. AND WE HAVE WON MORE GAMES THIS YEAR WITH STEVE IN THE LINE UP THAN WITHOUT. THATS REAL. LIKE IT OR NOT. |

If we go by that fine. But looking at the games that Jameer started this year. He generally put up good numbers, except his 4 to's per game. Now steve put up close to those same numbers last year and we were ready to trade, trade, trade. Too many To's, he's not a real PG blah, blah ,blah. So how is Jameer that much of a better PG, if he avg. close to the same numbers (with the exception of points) but exactly the same amount of TO's? maybe it does "seem" after all b/c of Steves history. Why dont we look at what he's doing now, and that asa starter Jameers is avg. less apg, rpg, and more to's per game. It's great to have 2 great PG's on our team regardless. I think G. Hill shouldnt be on that list either if your talking about so far. we're 1-1 with him. So I can't make a judgement on the future especially b/c of his durability. |

Jameer only started 3 games, you cant go by that. Just because he averaged the same amount of TOs in a 3 game stretch doesnt mean that would last the entire season like Francis did. The only time we can judge Nelson is when he at least has 20 games straight as a starter. Then maybe we can decide whether he is just like Francis, worse, or better. At this point though I am in favor of keeping the rotation the way it is because I think we will be pretty good later in the season and make the playoffs. As for Hill, this has nothing to do with durability. IMO he is the best player on the team. Dont care about his durability or the record, he is the best player because he is the smartest player and the most effecient scorer. Being injury prone does not make a player bad or anything like that. Dwight to me is second best because he anchors the defense, provides the only post offense and dominates the glass. He does a lot for this team and we would be nowhere without him. As for third like evan said you could find a lot of reasons to put francis there and a lot to put Nelson there. At this point Francis is the better player so I will put him at 3rd, although I think Jameer is the better point guard. |

I agree, But that goes both ways. He only started 3 games but people are calling him a better player. He's only started 3 games. he is a better PG, than Francis. G Hill is the best player on the team b/c hes consistant, and shoots at a high %. The reason I didn't put him on my list is b/c IMO DeShawn has worked his a** off to improve, and he's been doing it on a bum leg. Overall I think Grant will have more of an impact. But we still need deshawn to put up the numbers that he is, and if he hadn't done that this year with grant out, who knows how many wins we would have at this point. I think he's a valuable asset that alot of people over look b/c of the last name on the back of the jersey. |
