What you do is you post who you think have been the top three best players for the magic. Here's mine #3. Grant Hill-He just came back and he is already #3 on my list. The man is faNtastic. #2.Jameer Nelson- He is by far the biggest spark the magic have had in a while. He is 10 Times better them Steve-O and i think thing will only go up for him. And the #1 player- Dwight Howard- Pretty hard not to pick him, ave. like a double double, getting 20/20, getting 15 rebound almost at will. He is by far the best player on the team. |

Well I guess I'd have to go with Francis, Howard, and Hill...the three best players on our team. Sure Hill just got back, but his training during the offseason shined in last night's loss. He was making some moves to the basket that I haven't seen since his Pistons days. Other than that, both Francis and Howard have improved, but really, so many players on the team have improved. Nelson is playing better, Stevenson, even Garrity... |

3. Steve Francis I still pick Francis over Jameer. You have to give him credit. He is trying his best to adjust to the role that the team is asking him to do. He has cut down his TO, and his technical fouls. His offense has been terrible so far, but he is still the heart of this team IMO. Honestly, do you think we would have managed to be near 0.500 without Grant Hill if Francis was out and Nelson was running the point? I don't think so. 2. Dwight Howard He is awesome. But he still has to learn how to overcome the attention he is getting from the opposing team to be effective. He will before this season ends IMO. Now he is at a disadvantage to be the leader of this team because he is still so young. He will be occasionally schooled by the elite forwards in NBA, but next season he will be a grizzled veteran. Watch out NBA! 1. Grant Hill I am picking Hill for this season, but I'm pretty sure next season it would be Howard. Once he learns how to dominate the game even when facing constant doubleteam, Howard is the future. But at present, it still Grant Hill. |

Jameer does not belong on this list over Francis if you are talking about the top three players. Maybe if it were "top three favorite players", but the claims that Jameer Nelson is better than Francis are not founded in reality. You guys like Jameer because: last season we did badly and Steve Francis was our go-to guy, so you used him as a scapegoat and made yourselves prefer his back-up, and because of the fact that Jameer is so short which makes everything he does look so much more spectacular. |

McGrady and Howard... What could have been
|
3 - Steve Francis Francis is the one who gets magic some energy and keeps the run going. He is unstopable on runs and what not. 2 - Dwight Howard He is young, but he is the fuse that lights the magic. If you get him going, you will ge the whole team going 1 - Grant Hill He is one of the best NBA players today, he is unstopable at times, Jumpshot after jumpshot after jumpshot, all-star of the team. and can get the Magic out of tough situations |

Couldn't have said it better myself. Nelson seems better than Francis in some people's minds because not much is expected of him. |

LOL, not really. Maybe because he actually possesses some point guard skills. Francis is the starting point guard and averages 5.9 assists, not exactly blowing anyone away. Jameer playing 13 less minutes in a backup role is at 3.6. When starting he would be averaging just as many, if not more then Francis. Dont talk to me about TO prone, they both are so they cancel each other out. And Jameer is clearly a more reliable outside shooter, and a better defender. If you watch Jameer he is giving a constant effort on the defensive end and is glued to his man. It is actually quite simple why many here seem to like Jameer more then Francis.... |

And I dont hate Francis at all. Just dont act like people are wrong for think Jameer is better just because you are a big fan of Steve. There are reasons why LOTS of magic fans think Jameer is a better point guard. But I guess for them it also just "seems" like he is better. |

Nelson is a better pure point guard, I agree completely with that. But Francis is a better overall player, an all-star caliber veteran who has led this team to many victories over the past two years. Besides that, Nelson simply cannot contain taller guards for a majority of a game. He looks good in short spurts, but I haven't seen much that would tell me he can lead this team the way Francis or Hill does. Nelson is a very good spark-plug off the bench, but not a guy that I would trust a starting role to - especially when you have someone like Steve Francis ahead of him. |

It is hard to disagree with that. I think in time Nelson will be better though, just my opinion. |

yeah there are so many reasons why you could put jameer over francis or francis over jameer in your 'top 3' list, so we just have to go on opinion.
