We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. I wanted to point out something interesting: Steve Francis is averaging 3.19 turnovers per game in 38.6 minutes. Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, and Gilbert Arenas are among the players averaging more than him, with Steve Nash #1 in the league. I believe Francis led the league last year - and has a couple of times before that. |

Francis has never led the league in TOs I believe. And he didnt last season, as Iverson and Bryant both TOed more then him. |

He consistently is one of the tops in technical fouls, which takes the heart out of the team. I think he's doing better with those too. |

Yep, I was thinking of technials... Either way, people always dog him about his turnovers (which was rightly so). He's still in the top 10, but obviously there are more "premier" guards doing worse than he is. Plus, he's dropped almost 1 turnover per game off his season average compared to last year. |

Steve has been playing in control so far this season. Less TO's, less T's. His offense has suffered since this is not really his style of play. But you have to give him credit for trying and not whinning about it. That alone deserves alot of credit for Steve. |

yeah but it doesnt matter that its not his style of play or whatever. forget that, hes an all star and needs to step it up if he wants to be an all star again this year and if he want to get to the playoffs. |

It's amazing what happens to a PG when he has no big man to go to (i.e. Steve Nash). You can make the case that this is one of Stevie's best seasons. He's been doing all this with a f*cked up chest. His assists are up, turnovers and technicals down. He is still the leader of this team (with G-Hill just a notch below him). Just because he's scored fewer points doesn't mean he's struggling. He's shooting a lot less than last year.

Bro..everyone complained about his style of play, and now he needs to step it up? He's more controlled than last and taking less shots for himself and more for Dwight and other guys. Deshwans and Jameers avg. have went up. I dont get it. I'm glad steve doesnt read these Message boards, he would go insane. |

Steve's stats are down in some categories, but he's doing more of the things that point guards are supposed to do. By the way, I'm liking the on-court chemistry that Francis and Howard have been building. I'm seeing a lot more of Francis driving to the hoop and confidently dishing it to Howard for a dunk than in the past. |
