NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

Special thanks to our Staff Members: Black and Blue, MAGICMANEVAN, and NYCMagicFan!

WHERE: American Airlines Centre, Dallas.

RECORDS: Magic 9-11; Mavs 16-6.

BROADCAST: TV -- Sun Sports; Radio -- 580 AM (WDBO); Spanish language: 1030 AM (WONQ).

MAGIC UPDATE: Orlando welcomed back forward Grant Hill, who made his season debut in a victory Wednesday in New York against the Knicks. . . . The Magic split the season series with Dallas in 2004-05, but the Mavs have won four of the past five games. . . . Beginning tonight, select Magic games will be carried on the American Forces Radio Network. Also, the Magic will join the Mavs players after the game to meet soldiers attending the game as part of the Mavs' annual Seats For Soldiers game-night event.

MAVS UPDATE: Former Magic guard Darrell Armstrong was signed to a one-year contract this summer and comes off the bench. . . . Dirk Nowitzki leads Dallas in scoring and recently became the franchise's all-time leading rebounder. . . . The Mavs have already beaten Detroit by 37, San Antonio by 19, Miami by 13 and Phoenix by 3. All four teams were conference finalists last season. . . . The Mavs-Magic game was pulled by ESPN, which originally agreed to carry it to a nationwide audience.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Again it's Hill. He's playing in his second game since returning from hernia surgery. The Magic will have matchup problems with Nowitzki. If the Magic stay hot from the 3-point line, it could be quite a shootout.

The Magic vs. Mavericks game will not be televised on ESPN, like it says on ESPN, it will be on Sun Sports. The heat and sixers game will be shown on ESPN instead.

Dwight Howard = MVP
This is gonna be a really tough game for us. But we still got a chance, we need to contain Nowitzki if we want to win and also have to kick our offense up a notch if we want to stay close with the mavs. But we got a real good chance. CMON HILL SCORE AT LEAST 20!!!

f**k ESPN those asses. Then again, we NEVER play good on national tv so it is a blessing in disguise. I think the magic have a chance but I think they will fall just short.

but doesnt it just suck to find out that ESPN pulled the game because they THINK that the magic suck and no one will want to see them play.

Euugh. I know everyone is buzzing from Hill being back and i hate to darken the mood but i dont think we stand much of a chance. I dunno, i guess the guys could really suprise me but i can't see us getting anything out of this. But never the less, if Hill begins to contribute well again, which hopefully he will get back into the swing of things, i guess it's a step in the right direction. As much as we would love to be back at .500 we can't rush things. It will come.

As for ESPN, meh. That's all i have to say to them lol.

I hope the players know the game isn't on ESPN, because now we might just have shot. The team needs to play with the type of confidence they had against the Knicks, but Dallas is obviously going to give them trouble.

A win tonight would be awesome...
