Watson's fate. Earl Watson, one of the point guards Orlando considered in July during the NBA's free-agent period, hasn't worked out well in Denver this season. He has played in just 11 games, lagging behind Andre Miller and Earl Boykins.

Thursday is the first day free agents signed last summer can be traded, and Watson is a prime candidate. Denver is in the market for a power forward or center with Kenyon Martin and Nene injured.

Orlando could become involved in trade talks with the Nuggets, possibly making benched center Kelvin Cato available.

Now that Artest is available, maybe we should be using Cato as a trade bait for that. I don't see why we should be going after Watson. We already have a lot of PGs.

Artest already "announced" what teams he wants to play for , NY or Cavs, I don't see us bringing in a guy that wouldn't want to stay here.
I don't see why we would bring in Watson, especially when dooling comes back. Unless they still plan on moving Deiner to the D league, or Dooling's injury is more serious than originally thought and he's going to spend more time on the IL.

Even though Cato have struggled this year, we still need him. I think he will be a better in second half of the season.

I say we pull the trigger on a watson deal if they toss Nene in.

I also say we pull the trigger on a Cato trade if it brings us Artest. We will get All Star talent for a clone of Grimace from McDonaldland.

I don't mind shopping Cato, but not for another PG...especially an undersized one. If we trade him, I'd rather it be for another capable big man.

I agree that Watson isnt worth any trade where we lose size. We are loaded with short midgets.
