One more reason why Orlando's Dwight Howard -- with Amare Stoudemire sidelined -- ranks as the most coveted young big man in the game: Howard bade farewell to his teen years Wednesday night with his 46th double-double; 17 points and 16 boards in his final game as a 19-year-old.

On the all-time list of double-doubles for a teenager, Cleveland's LeBron James is next ... with a mere 21. Minnesota's Kevin Garnett? He had only 12 before his 20th birthday. .

the key to that stat is that he is very consistent....even if he doesnt get a ton of shots or shoot well he will still get his double digits and he never is under 10 rebounds anymore.....

even if he never improved past what he is now he would still be a great player....averaging a double double with like 15 -13 is really good in todays NBA....

a few years away from averaging 25-15....by the time he is 23

Tony, Please tell me thats sarcasm!!! Alot of people think he's going to be one of the top rebounders to play the game. I noticed too that he's not bringing the ball down below his waist like he did last year. He's not getting the ball slapped out of his hands anymore.

0.5 or around 20 rebounds. Thats what separate Camby and Howard on the rebounding numbers.

I am betting that by mid-point of the season, Howard would be the rebounding king!

Dwight's double doubles have become critical to us winning, as no one else likes the feeling of the yucky ball on their hands when it comes time to rebound.

I dont know if Howard will past Camby because he has been puttin up some crazy rebounding stats but Howard has a chance. Howard is second in the league in rebounding this early in his career, hes ahead of duncan, wallace, garnett, this is crazy imagine in the future. hes really gonna dominate.
