Orlando Magic vs. Denver Nuggets vs. ![]() What: Regular Season Game #19 Where: TD Waterhouse Centre When: December 10, 7:00 PM Broadcast: TV -- WRBW, Radio -- WDBO, Internet -- NBA League Pass The Denver Nuggets look to win back-to-back road games for the first time this season, and end a 12-game losing streak in Orlando when they visit the Magic. Denver hasn't won in Orlando since an 89-82 victory on March 10, 1992. Carmelo Anthony will try to put a halt to that skid after his best game of the season. The third-year forward put up a season-high 40 points Friday as the Nuggets opened their two-game trip through Florida by beating the Miami Heat 100-92. Anthony was 13-of-30 from the field and 13-of-14 from the foul line, finishing one point shy of his career high. Marcus Camby added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Nuggets, who opened a six-game road trip. "It was definitely fun to watch. ... Melo was spectacular," Camby said. The Nuggets have posted a winning record just once (4-2 in 1994-95) in 11 previous trips of at least six games. Last season, Denver went 3-4 on a season-high seven-game trek from Dec. 8-18. Orlando has lost five in a row, including Wednesday's 102-93 setback to Chicago. The Magic have been outscored by an average of 17 points during the slide, which has dropped them four games below .500 after they climbed to 7-6 with a four-game winning streak. Steve Francis returned to the lineup Wednesday after missing three games because of a bruised chest. He scored 16 points, but also had six of Orlando's season-high 23 turnovers before fouling out with 1:36 left. "A very discouraging loss," Orlando coach Brian Hill said. "I thought we played pretty decent basketball in the first half, but we still had way too many turnovers. As long as we continue to the turn the ball over at the rate we're turning it over, we're not going to improve." Orlando commits 15.4 turnovers per game, the fifth-most in the NBA. STANDINGS (through Dec. 9): Nuggets - 2nd place, 1 1/2 GB, Northwest Division. Magic - 3rd place, 2 GB, Southeast Division. PROBABLE STARTERS: Nuggets - F Francisco Elson, F Anthony, C Camby, G Greg Buckner, G Andre Miller. Magic - F Hedo Turkoglu, F Dwight Howard, C Tony Battie, G DeShawn Stevenson, G Francis. TEAM LEADERS: Nuggets - Anthony, 20.8 ppg; Camby, 13.9 rpg; Miller, 7.6 apg. Magic - Francis, 17.6 ppg and 6.1 apg; Howard, 13.2 rpg. 2004-05 SEASON SERIES: Tied, 1-1. LAST MEETING: Dec. 18, 2004; Magic, 117-95. At Orlando, Turkoglu scored 14 points off the bench to lead six Magic players in double figures, salvaging a tie of the season series. ROAD/HOME RECORDS: Nuggets - 3-6 on the road; Magic - 4-6 at home. Yahoo Preview Link |

Show down of the rebounders. I reckon Camby may have a better game. However, we could still win regardless. We need to play like a team. |

This is the 2nd game in 2 nights for the Nuggets. We should take advantage of that. |

I can handle this ![]() Really this is to be expected. They are coming off of a huge win and we are desperate. It would take a huge let down to lose this one, but I have seen crazier things. |

WENT TO MY FIRST MAGIC GAME IN 2 YEARS!!!! Great games from DeShawn, Dwight (out did Camby ), Francis, Battie, hell even Garrity after I screamed at him the entire first half ( ), SUPER MARIO!!! :clap:Pretty much everyone contributed a ton to this win. Denver hasn't won in O-Town since 1992. Next up at New York on Wednesday with the expected return of G-Hill. Did I forget to mention that in the dozens of Magic games I had been to in my entire life, that the Magic have only lost twice? ![]() You missed one of the cheerleaders dunk off the trampoline. SHE WENT VINCE CARTER BETWEEN THE LEGS!!! ![]() Although I was expecting more people at the game, THE CROWD WAS LOUD (including me as I always scream at every game). WE WORE THE WHITE WITH BLACK PINSTRIPE RETROS!!!!!!!!! ![]() And they looked EXACTLY the same as they did 15 years ago. ![]() Anyway, AWESOME VICTORY. I had an interesting experience in trying to get out. Long story short a train had stopped in front of Colonial and the College Park area for and hour and a half at least and caused massive traffic jams. I ended up sneaking past cops and crawling under the train to reach Orange Ave. It wasn't 'til I got home that I had this red fluid on my left shoe (I think it was blood). One crazy night, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!! |

Much needed win, and it came against a quality west coast opponenet. The Nuggets were playing on the second night of a back-to-back, but how many times have we had to say the same thing this season? I'm just relieved that the losing streak is over. Those things tend to become harder to break with each mounting loss. |
