The team needs to get back the defensive intensity they had just a few weeks ago, I know their confidence is not there, you can see it in their eyes.

OBSERVATIONS:

TOO MANY TO's, the ball is not moving, the extra pass is not there, I see individual efforts but NO TEAM basketball. They are just playing bad. Also 4 for 15 on 3 PT's, BAD SHOT selections. In other words, it is a mess.

Grant Hill will have an impact surely, but it will take more than just him to right this vessel.

main problems:
1. they are playing for themselves and not for the team
2. TOO MANY TURNOVERS!!!
3. not enough passing
4. bad shot selection
5. defense is slacking
6. not hitting open/easy shots
7. getting down on themselves when they are losing
8. not finishing in the 3rd/4th quarter after a good 1st half
9. too many injuries
10. not hustling enough
11. got getting the ball to dwight enough

there are many more problems, but those are the main big ones.

there cant be any excuses because of injuries, they just need to play with the players they have.

Well maybe he got all those shot attempts against Duncan because the Spurs's guards weren't worried about playing the passing lanes to Dwight since they knew Duncan could handle (or rather manhandle) him in the post.

He's 19 d*mn..He was playing arguably the best player in the league or at the same Pos. anyway. I'm hoping he plays guys like Duncan one on one, It'll either piss him off and he'll want to get better ot it will discourage him and he'll suck. So far I think he's handling himself against NBA veteran superstars. Where were we at his age? Not playing in the NBA I can guarantee that. he did get handled though, Duncan man handles everyone.

I think thats one of our major problems right there. We play a good first half and then get too confident. Turnovers are pretty major right now too. It's true theres always some scrub that always has a career game agianst us. I don't know what to think. I'm tired of trying to figure out this team. They seem to always start off at something early in the year andthen it falls off. You cant get anything consistant out of this team. Especially Garrity, That dude needs to go. he's out there for one thing and he can't even do that. So what pick do youthink we'll have in the draft 3rd 4th?

for real! i hate that. i dont understand it. but im just guessing that they underestimate the player and dont cover/guard him well. but if that was true, wouldnt they realize it or wouldnt hill tell them to stick on the guy? who knows...

If you look at the standings, Miami is 10-9, Washington is 8-8 (visiting Indiana tonight so they may drop to 8-9), so we are not that far off. We are still very much in the hunt.

Coach Hill has to go back to the drawing board and do something about our stagnant offense, we are not moving the ball enough. Also we have to get back on the defense that we were playing earlier in the season.

We are still OK, but we need to win some of the upcoming games to get back on tract.

If we lose to Denver and the Rockets beat Portland, we'll have the same record.

this nuggets game on sat. is pretty much a must win. we cant lose 6 in a row. that would be a huge momentum killer and would be a serious blow. we need steve to score and play D and grant to come back. also... when is dooling coming back?
