Orlando Sentinel - The Magic tentatively are circling Dec. 19 for Grant Hill's return. Orlando plays host to the Toronto Raptors at TD Waterhouse Centre that night. Hill, according to Smith, will begin practicing with the team Tuesday or Thursday." The Magic have games Monday and Wednesday.

Hill has been out of the lineup since undergoing hernia surgery Oct. 31. He's been stepping up individual pregame workouts. Asked if he could give the club 10 minutes against the Bucks, he laughed, "Thirty-three . . . .you know me, all or nothing."

Good news! I though he is coming back earlier, but right on schedule is also fine. Maybe finally we can get some healthy bodies by that time.

Grants return is huge. It gets inconsistent Turk off the starting lineup, and into his better role of 6th man. And we finally have a fundamentally sound, consistent scorer that we can go to. He should be the #1 option and lead the team in scoring this season. I just hope he comes out scoring right away, but maybe that is too much to ask. Still, I see good things when the team is healthy.

^yea i think he'll lead the team in scoring because Francis hasnt been doin it. hes only averaging 17.8. Hopefully he'll give the team the boost we need.

Oh I have hoped this would be the return game for Hill. I will be in Orlando for vacation and guess when we will get to see our only home game this year? You guessed it the 19th against the Raptors. I certainly hope this is the date.

In floridatoday, they mentioned that Hill may be back end of this week or early next week. Hill said he has no pain in the groin area and the only thing that is holding him back at the moment is conditioning.

Needless to say we badly needed him and Francis back in the line-up.

Yeah, from what I've heard, Grant actually said that he feels ready enough to play tonight against the Bulls, but B-Hill said no to that. I think we'll see him in the game on Saturday, but if I were B-Hill, I wouldn't start him for awhile. He needs to not only ease himself back in physically, but mentally. He needs to become comfortable with the offense we're running and not mess up the chemistry.

Luckily we are only 2.5 games out of first, so if we can just hang on a little longer until Hill comes back, we wont be in that bad of shape!

Grant will lift the spirits of the team and fans. I think the team have trying to overcompensate for the loss of Grant. I think when he returns, they will calm down and play their game. If all players recovered from their injuries, we should finish the season on a high note.

I will be happy when Hill returns, but I wont be ecstatic. Why? He is going to get injured again eventually. It's a shame, but we have to keep somewhat grounded.

I want someone else to depend on. Howard, Francis, or heck, even Mario Kasun one day.
