We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

Raptors? Hawks? Knicks? Those teams ring a bell. I think your basing that on last years pick, At what point did we look like a joke this year (Since your talking about now) The Fran pick? Kings went throught the same thing with Peja, SA with Manu those guys didnt come over for like 1-3 years after they were drafted. Fran, even though he punked us, could end up to be a great player. He looked good in the Euro league games you cant deny that. No matter how much you hate him., In which case you would think we're geniuses. Overall we've had more success than alot of teams, and even recently we won 15 games more than the previous year, Thats called an improvment. And this year we've been plagued by injuries |

Nah, we are good. After a few free agency periods we could be up near the top unless we are stupid...and Im not holding it past this team. |

guys, we have a real chance to be good. all we have to do, now with hill back, is take good shots (drive to the rim often), play good defense, keep the ball moving and turnovers down... easier said than done.

This thread is from August, why is it back up?? Anyway, no we are not close to being a joke. In fact, we are going to be very good. I say this because I have been able to watch Howard a lot this season. And he is seriously going to own the paint very soon. |

The only thing that would make us a joke right now is if we let Dwight Howard go when he becomes an FA. |

I bumped it to show how right I was about the Clippers being better than the Magic. (Shameless self-promotion)

Yeah don't feel so high and mighty, I too picked the Clippers and Warriors to make the playoffs (still early though), and you don't see me bumping up a stupid thread to show that. I refused to answer this thread back in August because it was a stupid question. I ended up reading through it again and it got me PO'd to some the sh*t I saw. ![]() Shaq left because DeVos wouldn't open the checkbook. Also, he got won over by Jerry West and his hopes of becoming a star in L.A. (he wasn't wrong there). G-Hill for Ben Wallace and Chauncey Billups was an obvious good deal on our part at the time. Back then, AT WORSE G-Hill was a top 10 player in the league. Billups never played for us and Bo was of more importance to us than Big Ben. Plus, Ben had injury issues as well did Billups. Everyone in Orlando (except T-B*TCH because he lost his friend) loved the Miller and Humphrey trade for Giricek and Gooden. Hell, that trade gave us the surge we needed to make it to the playoffs in the first place, and then they played well in the Detroit seried until T-MAC didn't share the ball. Of course, Doc is to blame too, he got outcoached badly. If T-MAC passes the ball to our guys in the last 3 games we beat the Pistons. Gooden, Giricek, Flash all were playing great. Then T-MAC decides that he wants to win the final game all on his own (he struck out just like he did in the Mavs series in Houston ).T-MAC will never win a series until he decides to share the ball with his teammates. He has talent in Houston as well with Yao, Howard, Sura (if he ever comes back). SHARE THE F*CKIN' BALL YOU DUMBA**. A true leader doesn't quit like he did in that 21-victory season. After all this, Gooden gave up once Juwan was brought in (bad move by Gabriel) because that f*cked up his fragile psyche once he realized he had to earn his starting job after that great Detroit performance. He's still the same in Cleveland: one game he plays well, the next he sucks balls. Battie for Gooden and Hunter was a great trade. The only thing that (IMO) Weisbrod did wrong was including Varejao in that deal (who by the way is injured still). We may be a joke to the national media, but the Knicks are a complete joke. Hell, their fans thought that once they got Brown that were an automatic playoff team. ![]() I still think Cleveland is a joke. 'Bron hasn't taken them to the playoffs still in 2 years (obviously that changes this year), and Cavs fans are calling 'Bron the Messiah. ![]() Toronto isn't exactly golden either. There are numerous teams that we're better than in the end. Just because potheads like Bill Walton don't respect us doesn't mean that we suck as a franchise. |

That was pretty sad, we were winning by 13 I thought we were going to win. But then we let Raptors back in and won the game. Oh man that made me mad
