NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

Special thanks to our Staff Members: Black and Blue, MAGICMANEVAN, and NYCMagicFan!

Unrestricted NBA free agents can sign with any team.
Restricted NBA free agents can sign an offer sheet with any team, but former team can match the offer and keep the player.

Yeah, being a restricted free agent really makes it tough to move if your team wants you.

I think they should just call this the "Clipper-clause", because lord knows the Clips wouldnt keep anyone any other way.

I didnt look at the site, but it should be noted that if you don't have bird rights and your player is an RFA and you do not have cap room you cannot simply match any offer as the rules state.

For instance if someone offers Haslem more than the MLE and Miami wants to match, it doesnt matter.
