Wright Is to good of a shooter not to go in the top 10.... If bucks pick Marvin Williams They are rebuilding, and Michael Redd is not going to return...

Rockets Could Take Hakim Warrick.. They said they would take a stromile Swift player I think.... and this could be him, but better...

There are rumors going around that we could be doing a sign and trade for swift + wells or williams, but who knows.. we need anything in the draft minus a 3 and a 5.. Our GM was on the radio and TV the past few days and hasnt said CRAP about who he is looking into..

Some draft rumors from Yahoo.....

- The Orlando Magic may be leaning toward North Carolina power forward Sean May at the 11 slot.

- The Golden State Warriors' No. 9 pick and Syracuse forward Hakim Warrick appear like a lock.

- So does the Seattle SuperSonics' selection of Georgia Tech point guard Jarrett Jack at 25.

- The Celtics aren't likely to pull off a major deal involving star Paul Pierce, whose playoff antics didn't help his cause in Boston, but it isn't because they aren't listening.

- Ersan Ilyasova, the 6-9 small forward from Turkey, cancelled a workout Monday with the Houston Rockets, and the belief is he has been promised by some team that it will select him.

Speaking of the Rockets, even though they need a power forward, they will take the best player available at No. 24. Not the best prospect – the best player. They want someone who can come in and contribute immediately.

- The Portland Trail Blazers entertained offers for the No. 3 overall pick from five different teams, but settled on the Utah Jazz as a trading partner.
The Jazz will get Wake Forest point guard Chris Paul with the third pick, and the Blazers will take prep star Martell Webster with the sixth. Reports have the Blazers also getting the Jazz's No. 26 pick and a 2006 first-round pick.

- The New York Knicks, who are desperate for size, will take Arizona shot-blocker Channing Frye at No. 8 if he is available. The problem is the Toronto Raptors may take Frye at No. 7. If Frye is off the board, the Knicks will take Andrew Bynum, the 7-foot New Jersey prep player.

- The Los Angeles Lakers tried to trade up with Portland to get Illinois point guard Deron Williams, but that appears to be dead at this point. If so, expect the Lakers to consider Gerald Green or North Carolina point guard Raymond Felton at the No. 10 spot. Felton is a terrific point, but with him being only 6-foot, the Lakers are wary of taking a smallish point.

PORTLAND/UTAH TRADE PICKS

Quote:

ESPN - The Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers traded picks Tuesday.

Portland traded the rights to the No. 3 pick to Utah for the rights to the No. 6 and No. 27 picks and the rights to a 2006 first-round pick that the Jazz got from the Detroit Pistons , a league source said.

All trades had to be in by 2 p.m. ET.

A source said the Jazz would look to draft a point guard at No. 3, deciding between Illinois junior Deron Williams and Wake Forest sophomore Chris Paul.

The Blazers would then possibly draft one of three high school players -- Andrew Bynum, Gerald Green or Martell Webster -- at No. 6.

I hope they don't select Webster! :|

Damn straight we can, especially when most mocks have him falling below 11th.

Sorry, but May almost always looks like he's not exactly sure what's going on around him.

I totally agree! He looks like he should be wearing a leopardskin sash and have a huge club over his shoulder to complete the "brainless ogre halloween costume".

7:00 on ESPN, though I'm guessing the first half hour or so will be analysts talking about the draft and discussing picks and such.

I'm not sure when the actual first pick is chosen...

Sounds good. It's interesting to have so many people declaring who they want before the draft. Like seattle saying they are a lock to pick a guy at 25? Sounds silly.
Part of me knew that with my posts about how we should get anyone but Sean May, the Magic would express interest out of nowhere.
