We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Five Best Things About the NBA
By Gene Huh

It is so fashionable to bash the NBA these days. It has gotten to the point where sports fans have become almost embarrassed to admit that they follow the National Basketball Association. While I agree that David Stern's authoritarian NBA front office and the attitudes of many spoiled NBA superstars also hurt my enjoyment of the game, there are many things that ensure my support of NBA basketball. Listed below, are the Five Best Things About the NBA.

Mark Cuban
You've got to love him. If you don't, I'm guessing that you are nothing but a player hater because Cuban is living every sports fan's dream. He's a billionaire and the owner of an NBA franchise that is in legitimate title contention this year. Cuban is not afraid to take a stand on causes he feels passionately about, such as the quality of NBA officiating, and David Stern's fines aren't going to shut him up. However, unlike overzealous, but ignorant professional sports owners such as the owner of the Washington Redskins, Daniel Snyder, or the Peter Angelos, the owner of the Baltimore Orioles, Cuban does not meddle in basketball matters.

Charles Barkley
I was very afraid that a Barkley comeback as a player would deprive us of the best in-studio analyst in sports broadcasting. Thankfully, that comeback was aborted when it was clear that Chuck would be too round to rebound unless he shed about 50 pounds. Barkley's quick wit and willingness to speak his mind has transformed Turner's NBA broadcasting team into the best in sports. Thanks to Barkley's presence, analyst Kenny Smith no longer has to try too hard to be funny and can instead provide a solid blend of serious analysis and humor. As he did when he was a player, Barkley is making his teammates better.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers are the most poorly managed franchise in the NBA and they are owned by the cheapest, most inept owner, Donald Sterling. However, they have somehow backdoored their way into a collection of spectacular, athletic talent. Watching the Clippers play is like watching a game of NBA 2K2 on the Playstation 2 with all of the spin moves, dunks and spectacular passes you could ever hope for. Too bad this show will end once it is time to renegotiate contracts.

Steve Nash
This man always looks like he is allergic to shampoo. Especially when it is combined with running water. Still, it does not prevent him from going out with Spice Girls and supermodels such as Elizabeth Hurley. Not only is Nash living the playboy lifestyle that every bachelor dreams about, he is producing big-time on the basketball court. Averaging nearly 20 points a game, Nash is the only player in the league that consistently shoots over 50 percent from the field, over 40 percent from three-point range and over 80 percent from the free throw line. Oh yeah, he's also an excellent playmaker (not playboy) who keeps high scoring teammates such as Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Finley happy with his distribution skills.

Vince Carter
Half-man, Half-Amazing. Vinsanity. And so on and so on. True, Carter cannot be considered one of the greats until he finally becomes a player willing to carry his team on a nightly basis. However, you just have to appreciate a guy who dunks so spectacularly that some of Dominique Wilkins' finest creations now look pedestrian by comparison. The NBA should never hold another slam dunk contest until Carter agrees to participate once again, as any contest that is held without Carter will basically be a contest to see who the second best dunker in the NBA is.

I thought he looked like even more of a fag when his hair was short...plus he must be doing something right if you look at all the women he's dated...not to mention they showed his wife during a game and she is really hot
