Webber On AI: "I Can't Play With Him."

"I can't play with him," Webber told one old friend. "He dribbles too much."

Webber apparently isn't very confident that he and Iverson can make a successful tandem starting next season. After lamenting Iverson's me-first approach, he told his pal: "I'd take a pay cut to get out of there."

Webber came from a pass-oriented motion offense. Webber is used to being a major facilitator in the offense--he's taken out of his game and his strengths in the offense when Iverson dribbles the ball for 20 seconds and takes a bad shot. Despite all of Webber's own faults, the guy is a tremendous passer and is great at getting teammates involved. This isn't something that takes a stretch of the imagination to believe.

C-Webb is a dumba**, AI had the best overall season of his career and averaged a crap load of assists.
The only place C-Webb would be traded to with his overpaid contract is New York.

The sixers also don't have a good enough overall team to compete for an nba championship right now.ANd their salary cap situation is not good. That's also why webber wants out.Sure they can compete in the east except when they face mia, det,or indy when they have all their players. In the west, don't think so.Webber has to be like 31 or 32 by now,so he doesn't have that many years left.He just wants to play for a winner.Iverson isn't getting any younger either.

I find it hilarious that at the time of the Webber trade, many Sixers fans believed they had an elite team on their hands.
