We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Magic

Positives: Warm weather, Dwight Howard, Disney World

Negatives: Small market, suspect roster, Shaq sightings

The skinny: The Magic are lobbying for public money to help build a new arena, and some have suggested they pay Jackson whatever he asks to create excitement about the team and generate support. Jackson interviewed with Orlando several years ago, and might be intrigued by the chance to work with Howard. But Steve Francis probably isn't Jackson's kind of player, and the Magic roster looks shaky right now. Besides, would Jackson really want to see Shaq four times a year in the Southeast Division?

Odds: 20 to 1.

Shaky Roster?

If we're healthy, how is our roster shaky? Doesn't make sense to me.

Steve Francis has this absurd reputation of being troublesome with coaches. Couldn't be further from the truth. He listens to his coaches and does what they ask. Rudy T had nothing but good things to say, and JVG as well. Problem is our coach JD wasnt a real coach, he was a puppet. He was acting as head coach, but he listened to everything the management said. He was just a b**ch.

i guess he forgot how well kobe and jackson got along?and he has the nerve to mention that francis wouldn't listen, stupid yahoo writer,is what he is.And our roster is only shaky when all the most of the scorers get injured.Which is the same with any other team.

Come on guys, you have to look at it from the perspective of a non-Magic fan. We didn't even make the playoffs last season, injuries or not. I think a 20-to-1 shot at Jackson is a pretty fair analysis.

I don't think most of us would argue with that. 20-to-1 probably is about right. But saying that our roster is shaky is kind of misleading. Yeah it is shaky if we have our 5 or 6 best players injured.

I'll be honest, if I'm Jackson and I'm picking between the fame in L.A., working with Lebron in Cleveland, and Orlando.....damn, all I can say is hopefully he is a good weather nut.

He's always been with a team with a top scorere/guard in the league(MJ, KOBE). He just happened to have Shaq to in L.A. Orlando doesnt have an MJ or KOBE. We have Dwight Howard. Thats why I agree with Black and Blue in L.A. or Cleveland with Kobe(again) or LeBron.

Although I recently heard on ESPNEWS, that Phil Jackson will be in one of two places next season....1) Lakers Bench or 2) His ranch in Oregon.

So I doubt we see him in Orlando next season.

I'm shocked we weren't given 100 to 1 odds.

Anyway, there's no way Phil goes to Cleveland. That franchise is on the verge of collapse:lol:

The only reason I see Phil going to L.A. is to bang Jeannie, then manipulate her when she becomes owner for her pops Jerry Buss. It's GENIUS. Or he could try to screw Kobe over by screwing Vanessa. O_o

This could be homerism, but Orlando looks to be a better situation than Cleveland or L.A.
