NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. A classy act. And some nice words too. I didn't know Stevie can write...

You got to appreciate the effort though.

I really don’t think he wrote it. I’m guessing its some pre-emptive damage control thought up by the Magic’s Public Relations group. They have a creative team and copywriters on staff. Also, if he did write it, as a Magic employee, he would have to get clearance from the higher ups to run it. Standard business practice. The thing is too well written to not have come from a professional copywriter or at least gone through an editor.

Here is Francis' original letter before it was edited (if it was his idea)

Yo, it sucks this seasons over already, but we'll be back next year, aright?

Thanks for puttin up with all the S%$# we put you through.

My hommies and me'll be workin hard so we don't disappoint next year.

That first home game against the Bucks was phat ya'll, but then Weisbrod pulled a bunch of S$%@ trades and the season went to hell. If I was a fan I woulda been out long ago, but you stuck with us, that means alot to me.

Out...

I appreciate it, but I never doubted his efforts. I will stick to my belief that Steve Francis IS the type of player to have playoff success. He led the league in go ahead buckets that won the game with 9 I believe. He made 5 game winning shots. He is 5th in Nestle crunch time ratings. Being clutch is arguably the most important part of playing basketball, and we have one of the best.

LOL...haha well even if steve didn't exactly write it it was nice of him to actually do it and have some input of what the letter should be about. I think he did this by himself though because they said he bought the ad space by himself and s**t

I have no doubt that Steve wrote that letter by himself. He shows that he's been atleast educated at Maryland, but there are no complex words that a PR guy write. THAT LETTER WAS ALL STEVIE.
