On the back page Steve Francis took it out as an ad and wrote a letter to Magic fans thanking them for their support through the season and he says he wants to stay in Orlando and looks forwoard to bringing post season success next year.

thats encouraging, sounds like he wants to stay in o-town,I would attribute a lot of that to the development of howard. With him getting better and if the rest of the team can stay healthy, this team could make a run next year.

Dear Magic Fans:

It is with great sadness that my first season with the Magic has come to an end short of our expectations, but we have tremendous hope for the future. We overcame many hurdles this year, fought and played hard each and every game. We couldn't have done it without the support of our fans.

Magic fans, thank you for your support. We know at times you were frustrated, but still stayed with us through our injuries, player trades and during the games we struggled. Knowing that our fans are fighting with us motivates us to work even harder. We are disappointed because our season is ending short, but the organization wnet through a lot of changes to improve this past year and we have big plans for the future.

Our team is blessed with many young, talented players and great leadership. We plan on working extremely hard this off-season to improve so we can come back next year and achieve our post-season goals. We know what it will take to get better and we are committed to making the Magic a contender.

The excitement that i felt during our first home game against the Milwaukee Bucks is the excitement we hope to bring every night next year. Your support means a lot to us and I am proud to be a part of the Orlando Magic.

God Bless,
Steve Francis- ORLANDO MAGIC

I think it was a very nice gesture by Francis; one that was not necessary by him, but much appreciated by myself and hopefully most of the fans. A lot of people blamed Francis for our losing down the stretch, but give the guy a break, he plays hard, he's a very good leader, and he knows how to be clutch. I'm looking forward to this offseason when he works on becoming more of an SG so he can take over that position next year.

Francis is a very loyal player, as evident to how he felt about leaving Houston last summer. But, once he came here he embraced the city and the team, even going so far as to "change" his nickname from Stevie-Franchise to Stevie-O (for Orlando). I've gained more respect for Francis these past few weeks than I had for him even when we were winning earlier in the season.

Well he and the rest of the team haven't exactly had great attitudes all year, his standpoint during the mobley trade was pretty immature, cause a veteran like him is supposed to know it's a business, and mobley is not an allstar,Hill is the allstar. But at least he's showing signs of trying to be a good citizen.

Have You Hugged Your Van Gundy Today?

After such an incredibly immature season, this definitely was a welcome surprise by Franchise. If he indeed wrote this, and not his publicists, then it is a strong step in the right direction for next season.

Hopefully its true and not just good PR. I work for an advertising/PR agency and some of the things we do aren't always "sincere". This ad smells of creative PR.

After the Magic's practice Tuesday, the media waited to ask Francis about his full-page ad and his thoughts on this season and next. And what does he do after his public gesture of goodwill?
The unpredictable Steve-O refused all interview requests and rushed out the door.

McGrady and Howard... What could have been
Im proud of Steve-O for saying that............. And next year...... I promise you that we will make the playoffs....... We need a good coach and a couple of more role players or 1 more superstar or big man............. But this season was not a total disaster....
