Some key parts of the article......

Quote:

Phil Jackson, Flip Saunders, Paul Silas, Eric Musselman, P.J. Carlesimo and maybe Rick Pitino will churn in the rumor mill

Quote:

There are six players who are a slam-dunk to return: Grant Hill, Steve Francis, Hedo Turkoglu, Tony Battie and rookies Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson. These are considered the Magic's "core" players.

Everyone else -- Pat Garrity, Kelvin Cato, Stacey Augmon, DeShawn Stevenson, Doug Christie, Andrew DeClercq, Brandon Hunter and Mario Kasun -- is likely trade bait. Andre Barrett and Mark Jones, late-season pickups, probably won't be re-signed.

Garrity and Stevenson are more likely to come back.

Quote:

They will receive the midlevel exception and can sign a player to a contract similar to what Turkoglu received (six years, $39 million) as a free agent last summer.

Among the pending free agents this summer the Magic might attempt to lure with the exception: center Sam Dalembert (restricted), center Stromile Swift and guards Bobby Jackson, Damon Stoudamire and Jon Barry.

Quote:

Cato and Christie could be packaged in a deal this summer or before the trade deadline next season.

Quote:

Francis told the Sentinel on Thursday that he would be returning as a shooting guard next season. Although he already was moved there once this season, Jent returned him to the point.

i really liked this article. We will get a new better coach. We will keep starters hill, SF, howard, and bench players hedo and battie. Im not sure what nelson will be but he will def. be here. We should add a NBA ready player at around 10-12, and there will be plenty of talent at that point. We will get a solid player with the exception, possibly a center or PG, both of which we will need starters. We might make a trade. Stevenson and garrity should be back.

the other article said the Magic are gonna try to get Mike Kzyzeski (sp?...whatever u guys kno who i'm talking about) to try to be our coach by trying to seduce him with coaching Grant Hill again...I dunno but he does stress defense greatly and doesn't do pussy ass zones that allow for other teams players to cut behind our dumbass centers and get easy f**king layups

Maybe Coach K would be gud for the magic....but I think he really should stay at Duke.

all i'm gonna say is that if we throw a s**t load of money at Coach K and it secures us a new arena in O town...I could care less if he is a sorry ass NBA coach, i'll say he was the best coach in franchise history cause he saved us from moving to KC

Heh...the Lakers weren't able to lure Coach K, and they're possibly the biggest name/attraction in the NBA. There's no way the little ol' Magic could steal him away from powerhouse Duke.

maybe he'll be intrigued to come to a team where a great deal of pressure isn't put upon him to produce a championship in the first season...plus grant hill can maybe talk him into it

Great article. I could see Damon Stoudamire on our team...not saying I would like it. If we get Dalembert, that would ROCK. Him and Howard would be a twin towers combo!

Sixers will not make Dalembert an offer? If they didn't that would be really dumb. I say give him our MLE.

Damon Stadoumire though is worrisome. We may become a cancer on our team. Magic player smoking pot will ensure the move to Kansas City. :(
