NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Christie says return would be 'difficult'; Doesn't really want to play for us

Trade him. We WON't have the salary cap room next year(for the 06/07 season) to be a major player in FA anyway. Maybe we can get something valuable for him Battie and Cato to a team that's rebuilding and looking for cap room and trading all their good players away. Read my post in the Magic Major FA players in 2006 thread for more info.

Are you kidding me? This is in no way Weisbrods fault, that is plain ludicrous. I love how it gets spun into being Weisbrods problem. Please, Christie is a no good, whining pansy ass b**ch who should be on the next train out. Weisbrod cut the guy slack, did nothing but support the guy, and pansy ass b**ch guy calls out management. Christie wants nothing more then to be traded, but he is "too good" to demand a trade, so he blames management to make himself look better, while basically guaranteeing him a trade out of here. The guy is garbage.

I'm in complete agreement with that.
If Christie thinks that JW will just trade him and things will end there, he's got another thing coming to him. :D B) :)
Accoridng to the Orlando Sentinel Magic writers, JW is ready to keep DC on our bench for next season whether he decides to play for us or not. He will slowly kill DC if he decides not to show up for practice come this fall.   B) :D <_<
So Christie, get ready for your ass to get ridden (and no, not by your wife 'cause that's been happening to you for a long time already). JW will make you play.

JW has made it obvious that this was a cost cutting measure to the point of where it infuriated Christie further, so wondering what the motivation was behind the trade is insanely obvious. I thought it took cajones for JW to say to Christie "You made your bed, now sleep in it" in the press conference in relation to Christie. It's obvious he's not letting this little baby mess up his team's plans

Dumbest trade I have ever seen

In hindsight, the Bucks traded Dirk Nowitzki and Pat Garrity for Robert "Tractor" Traylor on draft night. That has to be one of the worst trades ever.

Good point there.

So it's not the worst trade ever, but it was a pretty bad trade.

Although in about 3 months, we will be liking this trade, because
1. Jameer and Stevenson have now proven what they can do with PT(they are more of our future than Mobley was)
and 2. Pat Williams will win the lotto for us again and we'll have the #1 pick again. :)

Don't think we'll be getting #1 pick, but if this team can get a really good 3 pt. shooter in the draft, the magic could be nasty next year. The d will collapse on Hill,Francis or whoever else decides to drive in the paint and they just kick it out for a 3.The turk can already do that for us,but we need another player who's good at 3's.Don't see garrity coming back next year,he had his worst season ever and is getting older.Nelson should keep improving his shooting range 2.Salim stoudamire would be a nice pick.
