ORLANDO MAGIC @ DETROIT PISTONS
Wednesday, April 13
7:30PM @ The Palace of Auburn Hills
TV: Sun Sports
Radio: AM 580 WDBO
In Spanish: Flagship: AM 1030 WONQ

PISTON- The Pistons are playing like the defending world champions did last year at this time of the season – winning and doing it convincingly. Detroit has knocked off seven opponents in a row (including the Magic at home and a win that broke Miami’s 18-game home winning streak) en route to locking up the Central Division and the East’s No. 2 seed in the playoffs. Antonio McDyess has been a welcome contributor off the bench recently, averaging over 10 points in their last four games, but the bulk of the Piston’s offense and defense still come from their starting five – which can compete with any lineup in the league.

MAGIC- With only five games remaining, the Magic head into the last 10 days of the season with three games on the road and two at home. Orlando will start this road trip against a few teams who are playing to get ready for the postseason in the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls. The Pistons just locked up a No. 2 postseason seed, and the Bulls are in the crunch to move up in the middle spots of the eight-team order. Orlando is on a bit of a slide of their own, having lost four in a row, but the Magic aren't one to give up easily, and after every losing skid this season has come a winning streak to match.

Last Meeting:
The Pistons withheld a late surge from the Orlando Magic to pull out a 114-102 victory on April 8 at the TD Waterhouse Centre in Orlando. Chauncey Billups scored 19 of his 23 points in the second half (despite being taken out of the game early to have five stitches on his face) to leads the defending world champions to their fifth win in as many tries. Orlando was led in scoring by DeShawn Stevenson, who canned 4-of-6 three-pointers in the game.

All-Time Series: The Magic trail in the all-time series with the Pistons 27-33, including a 9-21 record in Detroit.

Grant Hill - Injured List - Sore left shin...Placed on Apr. 8
Hedo Turkoglu - Injured List - Fractured wrist...Placed on Mar. 22

STANDINGS (through April 11): Magic - 3rd place, 21 GB, Southeast Division. Pistons - 1st place, Central Division.

G Jameer Nelson.

Pistons -

Well, I'm hoping the Magic can win at least two more games before the season is over.

I don't expect this to be one of them...

We were just one 3 minute run in the 3rd quarter away from beating Detroit last time. I don't expect to win tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised at all. I hope we can keep the intensity and hustle up.

Yea...If we win the rest of our games and Sixers lose the rest of theirs, we have a shot. But if we lose one or they win one, we are officially out.

It does matter to me. Even if we're out of the playoffs, I still enjoy watching the Magic play.
