NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. first of all, he already declared...plus he isnt that great and will be a project and wont be ready to be a consistent startet for at least 1 to 2 years...He really isnt bigger than howard and will be a PF, not a center, and he is far too ugly to be on our team.

He should end up being better than Cato...don't think we'll end up in the right spot to draft him though.

We would be better off if we got Mark Acres to come out of retirement.

Bogut's gonna go in the top 5, so I doubt that.

For a new center we're better off shopping for a free-agent center and drafting a 2-guard.

I'm sort of hoping we can Hakim Warrick.

hakim warrick would more likley fit in as a backup pf to howard or possible small forward...he's only 6'8"

I think Brandon Hunter is already doing a nice job as a backup PF for us. We should give him the chance. We need an upgrade to Cato though.

F Brandon Hunter!!! I saw that fatass kill our momentum with stupid plays so many times vs. the cavs and not to mention when he gets the ball under the basket instead of using a basketball relatied move to score he jsut throws the damn ball in the air

Easy, pick Johan Petro. 7'1, 260, athletic and a great shot blocker. Exactly what we need next to #12.

Bogut is a GUARANTEED #1. And unless Pat Williams stuffs a million horseshoes in his pants, we won't be picking at that spot. :(
Villanueva is TOO SOFT. He reminds me WAY TOO MUCH of Drew Gooden.   :(
Don't know anything on Petro, but whenever someone says that a foreign big-man player is athletic and a great shot blocker, and you haven't seen him play yet, usually means that he'll be a stiff in the NBA.
We'll know as Draft day nears us in a few months. :D

Just remember, the last 3 times we were in the lottery we won the #1 pick. :D Also don't forget that Steve Francis represented the Rockets in the lottery where they picked Yao, so maybe we can talk the league into letting us bring 2 guys to the lottery to double our luck. B)

This isn't 10 years ago where we could've been as lucky as to get the #1 pick from nowhere. The NBA has made it NEAR IMPOSSIBLE for us to even get into the top 3 (let alone #1). So just take those hopes and chuck them out the window and just hope that we're in the top 10 of the Draft. :D
