We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. With all the injuries to key players (nelson, turk, christie) and with Grant probably out for tommorrows game here is our starting lineup for the playoff run and our toughest part of the schedule. C-Ewing(un-retired) PF-Kemp(I guess he still is alive) SF-Mark Jones(NBDL) SG-Dennis Scott(he is free after being kicked off Dream Job) PG-Barrett(unemployed) Okay that is a joke, but seriously look at our lineup for tommorrows game against another team that is battling for a playoff spot (NJ). C-Cato PF-Howard SF-Stevenson SG-Augmon PG-SF Bench-Barrett, Battie, Garrity At the beginning of the season i thought the bench would be our strength, but the mobley trade and injuries have killed us. |

That line-up sux. If JW wasnt such a punk our line-up would look like this. PG - Nelson SG - G-Hill SF - T-Mac PF/C - J. Howard PF/C - Okafor Hedo, Gooden, and Stevenson off the bench |

I agree but Okafor has a little more instant results. By the time Howard turns into KG we might be talking about the KansaCity Magic |

i dunno dwight is starting to semi dominate small stretches of games through his rebounding and defense, but his offense is still raw...but I would watch out for him next year, he might pass okafor by then |

Howard will be awesome next season. I think if the Magic ever moves to Kansas City, it will be at least after 2 more seasons. So drafting Howard is still a better choice over Okafor. Remember, Okafor is getting a lot of touches and he is averaging only slightly better than Howard. So even at this time, he is not significantly better than Howard. |

I said "if the Magic ever move", just to drive in my point regarding Okafor's so called "more instant results". Pardon me for uttering the word "move" though. ![]() Anyway, I was one of those who doubted drafting Howard over Okafor was a good move for the Magic, but now I am convinced that was a smart move. Howard may be even be better now if Davis went to him a bit more during his tenure. So I don't buy that "more instant results" arguement. Next season watch out, Howard will be a monster! |

lol remember back on the ESPN boards when Howard went like 2 for 11 in his first summer league game and everybody was like "damn what a bust" "the next kwame brown" I look back and think it was funny now...except back when it did happen some guy made a thread called "LOL @ Dwight" and it cracked me up for some reason |

I would take Howard over Okafor any day. Okafor can never elevate like this.... |
