We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. This was on yahoo today: "Nelson out 4-7 days with torn muscle March 29, 2005 ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Orlando Magic point guard Jameer Nelson has a torn muscle in his rib cage and will be out four-to-seven days. Nelson, who had an MRI exam Tuesday, played three minutes of Monday night's 109-102 win over Atlanta before leaving. In his rookie season, Nelson is averaging 8.1 points and 2.9 assists in 69 games." Wow, maybe we should change our names to the Orlando Murphey's Law |

Mr. Anderson
|
4-7 days, so that's like a week, 3-4 games. We should be OK. I think he should be able to come back sooner. He is young, he should heal fast. |

At least it's only 4-7 days. Yet another setback, all the more reasons we really need guys to step up. |

Sixth Man

Apparently its could be as long as 7 games....Magic is looking at veteran Kenny Anderson as a possibility....Augmon will start with Stevenson providing scoring off the bench.... |

this isn't good guys. I believe Jameer was/is in the process of becoming the teams never say die sparkplug, much like Daryl Armstrong. was it really a game injury or was he helping Steve-O develop a mid section kick that went awry? Or maybe steve was still missing mobley and hugged jameer a little hard? |

Kenny Anderson, I remember him. Didn't he used to be good a while back? What happened to him? Didn't he get old? He must be around 35 years old, I don't know about him, isn't there a younger player available? I don't want to see another Doug Christie bust. |

After reviewing some stats on Kenny Anderson in the last 5 years, I think he might be able to help the Magic, he can shoot the 3, has a decent FG%, good free throw shooter, and good assist to TO ratio, not bad, if he could provide some stable passing, some 3's and free throws I'll be happy, don't know how his defense would be at his age, but let's hope he helps if he's acquired.
