We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Orlando Magic vs. Atlanta Hawks vs. ![]() What: Regular Season Game #67 Where: TD Waterhouse Centre When: March 28, 7:00 PM Broadcast: TV -- FxSo, Radio -- 580 AM (WDBO) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Facing what should have been a tired team did not help the struggling Orlando Magic. The Magic, losers of 10 of their last 11, try to turn things around when they host one of the NBA's worst teams, the Atlanta Hawks. On Saturday night, Orlando suffered a 118-116 loss to the Phoenix Suns, who were playing their fourth road game in five nights. Grant Hill scored 26 points and DeShawn Stevenson added 22 for Orlando, which had a chance to win after Suns guard Steve Nash turned the ball over with six seconds remaining. But rookie Jameer Nelson missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer and the Magic dropped their third straight. ``You've got to take something from every situation -- win or lose -- and we didn't give up, which is something we can definitely build on,'' Magic coach Chris Jent said. Guard Steve Francis returned for Orlando after serving a three-game suspension for kicking a photographer during a game in Seattle. He had 17 points, nine assists and six rebounds, and saw cause for optimism in his team's performance. ``We were in it until the last shot and hopefully we can continue this kind of effort,'' Francis said. ``If we played hard the last 14 games, someone is going to give us a break.'' Orlando has 13 games remaining and is battling the Philadelphia 76ers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta, the only team in the NBA with a winning percentage under .200, has lost eight straight and 21 of 22. Reserve Tony Delk scored 21 points and rookie starters Josh Smith and Josh Childress each added 19, but the Hawks fell 109-104 to Toronto on Saturday night. ``There are some wonderful signs of us playing well in spurts,'' Hawks coach Mike Woodson said. ``We have to start looking into getting pieces to add to this ballclub.'' The Hawks could not muster a spurt down the stretch, though, making one field goal in the final 4 minutes. Al Harrington gave Atlanta its last lead when he hit a 14-footer with 4:46 to play. Harrington, who finished with 14 points, is shooting 49 percent (20-of-41) in his last three games. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/preview?gid=2005032819 |

I have a good feeling about tonights game, not about winning it but about maybe seeing a good old fashioned brawl. I'd like to Steve perfect his leg kick and maybe try a round house on a ref or an announcer. And then maybe the td waterhouse sound guys could play "Kung Fu fighting" man I'd laught so hard I might just pee myself |

I actually have a good feeling about tonight. We'll win and the Kings will beat the Sixers. Our losing to terrible teams has to end sometime and I think it will be tonight. |

I know...i'm really hating Francis right now...he needs to learn how to shoot again, and since a lot of ppl are talking about the offseason, we need to get a 3 POINT SHOOTER DESPERATELY!!!!! |
