We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Yeah, this is my question to you, even if the truth hurts. Do we have a bad team? |

Drafting Marbury + Foyle = Championship. \o/

I won't say we have a bad team, but I sure thought the team was better when we started the season. |

Lots of raw talent, but I feel JW hasnt put the right parts together to make the fit a good one... Bad team?? well its not a great one, but like I said there is a very high talent level so things could get better.. |

I wonder what JW will do next? Gut the team again and start with a whole new squad again next season? Prove me wrong JW. Show us fans some smart trades. |

No, we're not a bad team, we're just a team without an identity. We have a lot of good pieces, but we just need to find the right talent to put around them. The players who I think should be untouchable this offseason (unless a monster deal came by) are Howard and Turkoglu (sixth man award material). Players who I don't want us to lose: Hill, Francis, Cato, Nelson After those six, I don't really mind any trades that go down with the rest of our team. |

To me those 6 are pretty much untouchable (Excpet maybe Cato, but it's hard to find that many available centers there are as good as him) New coach (Hello Flip? Hello Silas?) and MAYBE.......JUST MAYBE a quick playoff series would be good for experience, if nothing else. |

A playoff series would be huge for experience. I think too many people underestimate the importance of getting playoff experience. |

I think we should give Cato and Battie at least one more season to see their what they can really offer. If Cato's injuries reccur next season, we will be better of trading him. The last thing we need is an injury-prone center. I agree. Playoff experience will be great for Howard and Nelson. Once they have a series under their belts they will be even better next season. Bring on Miami! |

I definitely think we bring Battie back. He has been good for us. He can rebound, block shots, and he can hit the occasional jumper. I wouldnt mind dealing Cato somewhere, but if we do that, than Francis might really get pissed off since both of his Houston friends would be gone. |

As of right now 8:35 PM 3/22/05 the magic R a bad team. But hear me out, if Steve Francis plays better when he gets back, the magic will be a good team. If Hill and Francis play good when he comes back the team will play better. So now yes they are but when Francis comes back.... lets hope not!!! |

You know something, the more I think about it, the more I want that 8 seed. I want Miami. If we lose and we get killed, it's no big deal because that's what SHOULD happen, but if we by some chance won that series............it would be the biggest thing to happen to our organizations since the Finals vs Houston. Low risk-high reward for playing them. Making the playoffs and losing to a Washington or Cleveland might actually do us more harm than good. I don't know. I'm just trying to think positively. |

That a very interesting proposition. I like the "low-risk high-reward" part. Also, what better learning experience for our young team to go out and play the best in the East in a 7 game series. |
