I love Jameer Nelson's game and what he's done since his emergence. But there's rumblings within the Magic that they'll look for a bigger starting point guard this offseason. They believe Nelson might be better-suited coming off the bench, which is what he's back to doing now. Keep in mind that Nelson wants to be a starter sometime, somewhere . . . .

Man, everyone wants to be a starter in this league. Stevenson is saying the same things. Not many players are content in coming off the bench nowadays...

I don't think we need a better PG, just a vet to help Jameer and back him up. Jameer has proved he deserves to start.

As for DeShawn, he'll be starting until they lift the suspension on Francis, maybe even longer. Chris Jent's going with the unpredictable strategy. :P

Stevenson is NOT better than Francis, so even though we won last night and he had 16 points, I hope fans aren't starting to think we should keep Stevenson and trade Francis...

And yes, there are a few who do, as evident from another Magic message board.

I didn't say he was. O_o

I said Jent might bench Jameer and move Francis to the 1 when Stevie gets back. >_<

My bad, I wasn't responding to your post when I said that. I'm not really sure why I did that, lol.

I had just read some comments from other Magic fans on another board who wanted to see Stevenson start over Francis, and I kind of posted my comments on that in this thread without reading through what you had said.

Sorry about that. :)

As much as much as I am not a fan of Franchise right now, he has more God-given ability than Stevenson and Nelson combined right now. A vacation from his antics seems to be helping the team right now, but once he comes back we should be back on track to realizing our full potential (hopefully)

Stevenson said he believes the only reason he has had this chance is because the Magic changed coaches.

"I didn't get an opportunity with Johnny Davis," he said.

Davis was fired Thursday and replaced by young assistant Chris Jent.

"Chris has been working with us on the floor and knows our games," Stevenson said. "I just needed somebody to believe in my game."

Obviously, Davis and Jent have different opinions about Stevenson, as well as Jameer Nelson and Francis.

...while Davis was drawing doodles on his white board.

16 straight double figure games. Only 4 of those below 50% shooting. NONE below 40%. Good assist numbers, not very turnover prone. Only a rookie. Enough said.

Rocks blocking shots on guys with dreadlocks
you know its funny that last year there was an article saying the magic should draft homegrown talent from central florida in reference to marquis daniels, vince, tmac, etc.

the funny thing is we might end up drafting darius washington caue he will probably come out after next season, but I don't like him cause he cost our school the state title last yr...not to mention he was about to go in our crowd and fight cause he's a cocky b**ch

Darius Washington is a cocky b**ch, you say? Well, at least we wouldn't have to worry about him fitting in with the club.
