I dont know. The way I see it.....If we can somehow sneak into the playoffs even as the #8 seed, it gives you NEW LIFE. Your record means NOTHING then. Anything can happen.

I agree.

Up until tonight, I was looking forward to a playoff run.

But this is the worst single loss that I can think of since our last playoff loss against the Pistons. This is the most disgusting loss you can have. Grant Hill 5 points in the 2nd half. Way to go.

I'm fed up with this team and I'm ready for the offseason.

GET A REAL COACH JW OR IT'S YOUR TIME TO GO!

I usually try to be Optimistic about the Magic too. But this loss tonight just feels like all of last year wrapped into one game. I'm glad I didn't end up going to this one or I might not have made it back (Charlotte is only 2 hours away from us in Northeast Tennessee).

The way we totally layed down to a terrible team in the 2nd half is beyond bad. We need to be one of the first teams in NBA history to fire 2 head coaches in the same year :). I am ashamed and disgusted. And yes I know it's one game, but lack of effort kills me more than losing.

I'm not so much shocked that we lost, just utterly dissapointed. Almost devestated.

I realize that Francis is out, but there is no reason in hell we should lose to a bottom feeder team like the Bobcats. What happened to that team that started 13-6? How have we tumbled so far?

You wanna know something else that is bugging me out of my mind?:

Magic 0-1 from the 3 point line

That is un-be-freaking-lieveable!

We have got to shoot better than this from behind the arc. Nelson and Hedo should be able to make a couple 3's per game. We have got to get a 3 point threat for the future.

The Magic this season has been nothing but a tease to us fans.

They started the season bursting out of the gates, making us believe that they were for real. Then the bottom have fallen since then.

We have just lost to a team with 10 game losing streak. And we did that even when we had a 16-pt lead!

The future seem bright for the team though. The only question left really is who can lead them to it.

Michael Redd would be really nice. I don't know if it's doable to acquire him though.

I dont know why, but I thought this snippet from the yahoo article on the game was hilarious:

"Orlando general manager John Weisbrod was stopped by Charlotte Coliseum security for the second time this season. In a November visit here, Weisbrod was questioned because security found him nervously pacing around the parking lot after the Magic fell behind."

Well I think Jents philosophy is to work the ball into the paint more and have to rely on the Three Pointers like we did before. I think he said that during a recent interview.

Gotta love the guy. People rag on him because we're down (and because of some of the questionable moves he's made), but I'll be damned if he isn't trying his best to "resurrect" this franchise.

P.S. - I hate using such doomed terms like "resurrect" for the Magic - I mean compare us to other teams like the Warriors, Hawks, and Clippers - but when you have a team that had eleven straight .500 or better seasons before last year's disaster, it only seems fitting...

I saw the first half and said to myself, this is good, we are up by 14 points, I come back to the game in the fourth and we are down by 6, I said to myself, this is awefully wrong, and I don't think is just the coach!

I think that some players are just NOT GOOD enough!
Or, I should say the team is NOT GOOD enough.

Tthey are still not playing as a team, I see some players trying to do too much on their own, like almost trying to take over the game.

For stretches I even saw Jameer tyring to look for his shot first (almost mirroring Francis), sometimes Hedo does the same, and Stevenson does the same, while Howard of course has been made the focal point of the offense by Jent, he got into foul trouble but because Okafor went directly at him (good move by opposing coach), while Hill did well in the first half, he could not score in the second, what the stuff happened? And Cato and now Battie are incosistent.

Did anyone played any Defense?

I read the comments from the Sentinel, and said Brevin Knight made the biggest plays in the fourth quarter, how come they let him do this? Where is the D on this guy?

I don't even want to think now of getting in the playoffs, for what?
To see Miami embarrass Orlando, no way!

I'd rather see the Magic not make it, so we can get a real coach, and a couple of missing pieces, such as good defensive players (not old), a pass first mentality point guard and 3 point shooters that can actually made the 3's consistently.

Some people may say, "anything can happen while in the playoffs", well with this Magic team, nothing is going to happen, give me a couple of reasons to believe otherwise.

Sorry for the long post, but I've just had it with this team.
That's my 2 cents, and keep the change.
